First, let's talk about the thing the redpill is worried about.

If you're looking for a one night stand, it pays to be selfish. Why? Well, because selfish people are motivated to push at the soft boundaries you need them to push, but probably don't want to go to jail for it. Also, if they select you, that's some serious internal validation on how attractive you are.

But as the article hints, a one dimensional selfish jerk is terrible for a long term attraction. Anyone who has ever tried to turn lust alone into romance or "let's be life partners forever" has been bitterly disappointed at the results, once their own limerence faded.

But that doesn't make kindness and altruism unattractive. Here's where I lose half the redpill men -

When you imagine kind people, you're imagining social incompetents at level 0 of their self-improvement journey. Don't even deny it. It's obvious in the way you hamster away anything else.

You repeatedly ask if a socially inept, but kind and funny fat man would be attractive, and you fail to realize basic subtraction math - the negative 2 takes away from the positive 2, and creates a 0, depending on tolerance for the body shape. In the meat market, sure, that's going to just be disgusting as Hell - only his sense of humor isn't working working against him.

But most women aren't looking for a one night stand. And unless they're shallow gold diggers or status climbers looking for the same -

An average guy with a passion to share, and more to offer personality wise, to the right woman, stands out in a sea of selfish assholes just trying to get laid. Sneer at romance all you want, but they just don't struggle to find commitment, the way TRP does.

Note to assholes/nice guys: That doesn't mean he can't tease anyone. Some of the warmest guys around can be situational sadists. How many best friends tease each other?

And a man who simply lets everyone walk all over them, without complaint, is just unattractive to everyone.

Stop being pedantic hamsters.

Not that you will, so -

I'll save the pedantic hamsters the trouble of raising their next objection: Of course, nobody can be perfect all the time. Everybody has a wince inducing memory of themselves either being a selfish asshole or a spineless one, or they're an cringe inducing asshole without any self-awareness. But you know what's really attractive?

Someone who learned from those moments, and makes things right.

Someone who can see past those moments in you, and bring out your best.

It all just proves the common sayings about love: Nice guys finish last, but a good man is hard to find.
