In a normal society, when two strangers of opposite sex are in search for a partner for various reasons (sex, companionship, friendship, etc) they go through a "ritual". The ritual is going on dates so you can get to know the other person, their aspirations, goals, and in general evaluate each-other if the two of you "fit" and would make a good couple. In a sane society, both parties would put in the same amount of effort in this initial phase. By effort I mean money, energy, attention, time, etc.

Now, consider how things are in reality:

Now, I may ask, what does a man that goes to whores get? He gets sex. He gets guaranteed sex. This is an important point.

Now, what does a man get when he goes out on a date? Men that date typically want the following:

  • Motherfucking sex
  • Companionship
  • Friendship
  • Basically "a girlfriend" that can turn into "a wife"
  • Having babies
  • And more...

Now, why do men should be expected to be paying for dates in [current year]? When a man pays for a date, isn't that essentially the same as paying for a whore? Actually, isn't that a worse deal than what you would get from a whore? You don't get guaranteed sex when you date, not even close.

So for what is a man paying for? You could say he pays for the chance to spend time in the company of someone. But doesn't that work also the other way around? Doesn't the girl get to enjoy the company of the man? If so, why should only the man be paying?

So a girl gets the same "rewards" from a date as a guy, but also benefits from not paying the bill because... Why?

Wouldn't it be only fare and natural for both parties to pay for their meal or whatever? Why is it that the man needs to basically gamble the money upfront, with nothing to show for if the women decides that "nah, he isn't for me" ? This is of course fare, and I am not expecting girls to "put out" just because they agreed to go on a date.

My problem is the fact that women fucking expect men to pay the bill and be only grateful if they eventually decide to have a relationship or sex with you. Why does it feel as if men need to always "earn" their way in? What has the girl ever done in her life to earn the expectation of men having to "work for it" ?

Wouldn't it be only fare for everything to be 50/50? That way man won't feel ripped off when after the 3rd date that you pay she tells you "this isn't working".
