One of the things that turns you towards TRP is that you realize that for all their talk of changing sexuality, feminists and progressives use the language of traditional sexuality to cariacture people they disagree with.

I'm not sure if you guys remember the whole kerfuffle with the Alt Right and the GOP Consultant Rick Wilson. On MSNBC, Wilson criticized the Alt Right as "childless single men who masturbate to anime."

And that insult reflects Wilson's worldview: he is an ardent conservative, and in his preferred society, men obtain status through sexual conquest and producing children.

So when TBP or feminists or whatever make a similar insult (and they do), that reflects that they also have an essentially conservative view of sexuality.

And if everyone on the political spectrum has that view, then we really can't move past it, and we have to work within it. As TRP does.

I'm not seeing any claims that those guys are "genetically inferior," just that they're late bloomers who are trying to relive a version of high school as a better version of themselves. And isn't the abstract concept of head-over-heels teenage love a really common fixation among incel-type communities?

The evidence I've seen certainly backs up that TBP post, and I've lived it in my own life as well. We prop up high school and adolescence in general as a time of firsts: you're expected to have your first date during those years and eventually your first love, your first time having sex. It's supposed to be this magical time that you look back on fondly. So for those of us who didn't figure it out until we were older, who were losers, who were bullied... yeah, we fantasize about how we'd do it differently. And I think to some extent it's natural to model yourself on the people who impressed you in high school. For me that meant losing weight, getting more stylish clothes, and learning how to use makeup and hair products.

It wasn't a bad thing for me to try and emulate the kids I admired in high school, it very much increased my social standing and eventually got me my first boyfriend when I was a little older. But I didn't have an online community of people doing the same thing, it was just me and my abstract memories. I can see how, when you have a group of people with as much self-loathing and envy as I had all working to improve themselves, you'd start to see some bizarre ideas. Not because those people are weird or inferior, but because group dynamics have a way of exaggerating jealousy and fear.

The popular football player who dated a few of the hottest girls in the school quickly evolves into a rockstar who banged three different girls a night including your prom date on prom night. That person is a gross exaggeration of a vague collective memory, but the group pushes him to greater and greater extremes... and as that persona drifts further and further from reality the group gets harder and harder on themselves. Some become depressed and drag each other down ("you'll never be Chad why bother? You're just coping") and others try to emulate the bizarre caricature that they've built up ("here's a field report about the time four models begged to suck my cock.")

The comment is more a reference to the fixation with high school (which seems equally bizarre to a British person as our school system, and in many ways society, is completely different to the United States), and that many of their beliefs about even the lives of the popular kids are unfounded. It has nothing to do with labelling people as genetically inferior. Literally nothing to do with it.

I'm definitely a gymcel and relate to some of the stuff on lookism from time to time. But this just drives me to pull myself out of the hole and work harder on surfing skincareaddiction and fitness subs.

I've broken free of sexuality, because life isn't all about how you look. It's not just about looksmaxxing you also have to boost other parts of your life like skillz. Time to stop watching Star Whores, stop watching XXX-Men just stop fapping and do important shit instead. Incels have a lot to contribute.

No, that's just what you want it to say. It actually says that many reds have a horrible idea of what made others successful, and fail to see some of their best qualities.

As the OP of that post, I wasn't thinking of looks at all. It's just a bit of armchair psychoanalysis on why RPers think like they do.

I think here we pay a lot of attention to RPers' means without really thinking enough about their ends. We debate topics like "Is TRP a good way to bang a ton of girls?", but rarely "Is banging a ton of girls really the best way to make you genuinely happy?" Sure, sex may be fun but if you're devoting your entire life philosophy to getting more of it, maybe you have some deeper issues to work out? (I've talked about this other times, such as here).

My theory is that feelings of inadequacy and a desire for validation and/or a sense of superiority are major drivers for a lot of RPers. But it does strike me that many of their goals indicate a rather... adolescent mindset. Some of that is because a decent number are literal adolescents, but for the older ones I feel it's indicative of some deeper desire to go "back in time".

I'm drawing upon my own experiences here. Not that long ago, I had a really big complex about mostly "missing out on the 'college party experience'". I thought it was tremendously important for me to lose my virginity. When I found out that quite a lot of girls were, in fact, interested in me, I decided I wanted to be a player who banged as many girls as I could. But I eventually realised that it wasn't really much about sex at all, it was about feeling like less of a loser, about not feeling like I'd missed out for good, and feeling validated.

Some lovely dishonesty. Where do they talk about being "genetically inferior". This is just another "I know you are, but what am I" deal. They are just complaining about red pillers in particular and it's a post talking about how this person feels they have a fucked up view of the world and is giving a potential reason as to why.
