90% of mammal species are polygynous (few males get the lion's share in mating). why would anyone think that the homo sapiens species could be any different?

let me clarify that I'm talking about instinct: females are drawn to few males, mostly those who show dominant traits. the remaining 10% of mammals who show a lower degree of polygyny or aren't polygynous at all are those mammals that have a lower level of gender dymorphism like the Bonobos, where females and males are more alike than humans or other primates. so it's safe to say that instinctually human females belong to that 90% majority. now many of you could point out that our socialization can easily override our instincts but I strongly doubt that: for the same reason we still prefer Nutella over Brussels sprouts no matter how hard we try not to, women can't totally dominate or reverse their hypergamous instinct that leads them to a restricted number of men and this society is increasingly legitimizing and normalizing hypergamy.
