I treat everyone cordially. Unless they cross a line then no more mister fake nice guy or I become abnoxiously fake nice guy to piss them off more.

Pretty much I'm apathetic to everyone else's beliefs.

I just don't associate with people I don't agree with.. They do their thing, and I do mine.

Unless I find them entertaining or interesting, in which case I hangout with them. I love trying to figure out the thought process of certain people

I invest significant time and energy to make their lives worse, usually in some illegal or unethical fashion.

Granted, having lots of sex and spending all my money keeps me busy most days, but as they say,... I'll make time for you.

Same way I'd treat anyone else. I can have lovely conversations with them and we can still be friends. How they live their lives are none of my business.

As long as they're not hurting anyone, I ignore them for the most part. Except, of course, in places like this where the point is to talk about such things. But in real life I live and let live.

Live and let live, I don't care. The only time I would say anything is if i thought a family member was doing something detrimental to their long term health and happiness, lie a drug addiction or a gambling problem. Even then Id tread very carefully

It's like this. As long as you don't push your views on me we are cool. I am friends with plenty of people that have different philosophies than myself. Now if you ask me for help I'll tell you. That's different.

I try not to get involved and just treat people respectfully, in general.

If the person is a close friend, I might try to push the issue if I feel welcomed (I pushed hard a girl friend of mine once to dump her abusive boyfriend, for instance) in issues I consider serious. Otherwise just get on with my life.

The only major-ish think I won't let go, ever, is paying half of my bills on dates. Doesn't need to be exactly 50% to the penny (and if it someone I'm seeing for the 4th/5th time or so we can alternate apying), but I don't let, ever, new guys to come up with a position where they are "sponsoring" the date financially. This had ruined couple dates last year, actually, some guys make it a point of paying all of it and then sometimes it gets uncomfortable (it becomes a power struggle, albeit respectfully, with a guy I barely know). But this is a red flag for me so I kinda like the issue appears evident on a first date already. I learned guys slightly older (say, 23-24 years) are much more prone to this somehow.

Almost everyone in this thread says they don't care about what other people do as long as it doesn't affect them, and yet the reason we are here is exactly because people DO care what others do even if it doesn't affect them. Some people in here are either lying or aren't being very honest with themselves.

It depends, I'm pretty open to most lifestyles, I can only really see there being an issue if they spend time pushing it on others as 'the right way'. I know someone who has accepted crossfit as 'the way' and apparently I will feel healthier if I take up crossfit instead of running etc.

People's choices tend to affect yours much more than people give credit for.

Many people's choices limit your choice of candidate (early primary states), your choice of entertainment and travel options, and your choices of law.

Because people's choices affect me and society at large I do take an interest in people's choices, real or perceived. I'll lightly ridicule mobile phone and console players, informing them of the much better gaming options available in the PC master race, I'll do the same to people who order season passes and end up disappointing in the end game (that's what you get for prepaying for an unfinished product). I benefit from an enhanced selection made possible from a larger market and better made products at the time of sale.

I don't ridicule people (irl) for their politics, or their lifestyle choices, but yeah I'll vote against them.

i wouldn't ridicule someone for their particular choices or beliefs (unless i was doing it for the benefit of my friends, like when you're sitting around making jokes about a particular person or group of people), but in some cases, i may avoid them socially. avoiding them socially usually takes the form of something innocuous like answering questions with just a yes or no, or responding with just "uh huh". basically just refusing to have a real conversation with them.
