I can't really change your view here. It's just not true in my own experience.

Many of the promiscuous women I know who were always outspoken sluts only confided in me years later that they had been hoping for commitment all along.

I can buy the general premise, but I think it's missing a piece.

Women are social creatures. Being sexy/validated/the center of male attention bolsters a woman's social status. She's envied/admired by her friends, desired by the men. She doesn't even really have to fuck the guys - if she was obviously desired by all of them and still envied/admired by her friends, that would be nearly as good for her.

If a woman finds herself in a situation where she's the one, sole woman who is so hot, so awesome, and so desirable that she tames king Chad, the one guy every single girl at her college agrees is the unattainable, uncontested, best guy ever, she'd commit to him. Because the social gains of being king Chad's girlfriend would be greater than the social gains of being desirable to lots of other guys.

This is mostly a sign of how far we've fallen. Women used to be socially envied/admired for having a good husband and being a good wife. Now, those girls get pissed on, while the women everyone else wants to be are the strong, independent, sexually empowered ones snorting drugs, downing shots, and sucking off hawt guys. Because apparently, finding hawt guys who will let you suck their dicks is regarded as a challenging indicator of female worth.

Some yes, I've personally known at least one girl who fit this description in college. Most? Definitely not. If anything, most of the women I know who like non-LTR sex (ONS, fuckbuddies, etc) have the opposite problem: they want to have fuckbuddies and ONS but the guys want relationships...they mostly want uncomplicated sex at a complicated time in their lives (college, first jobs).

The thing to remember is that what makes the top Alphas and 'Chads' attractive in the first place is that they are in fact high-value men and as such those men have plenty of options on the table and thus are not exactly in a rush to commit to anyone and women know this. It's every girl's dream to lock down the tall, dark and handsome Prince Charming who has women all over him but is committed to HER exclusively. So yeah women would like commitment but they want commitment from hot sexy studs who make their panties wet, not the scrawny nerd in her Biology class who adores her with kindness, affection, and would gladly commit to her but she's utterly repulsed by such male.

You are absolutely correct, but you left out one thing.

Women confuse their sexual market value with their relationship market value. They think that the caliber of man they can get into their bed tells them the caliber of man who will "wife them up" when they are ready.

Since a reasonably pretty girl can have almost any man she wants for a night, this leads to a certain complacency. They believe they can enjoy a vast variety of male sexual attention without consequences.

Seven or eight years ago, when I was naive enough to try reasoning with women, every once in a while this sort of thing would come up in conversation. When I asked what they would do when they were thirty, and the response was always the same. That's not an exaggeration... it was always exactly the same, with only slight variation in the wording.

They said "When I am thirty, I will be married to a great, sexy guy who adores the hell out of me".

They couldn't imagine scarcity because they had never experienced it.

Even genuinely promiscuous women (i.e. not those who try to use sex mostly as leverage to get a relationship) are after commitment as well, just not with every single guy they're spreading their legs for.

I think it's far more likely that she wants attention from top shelf guys and she'll settle for whatever scraps she gets (like the occasional booty call). If you want to test this theory, ask these promiscuous girls if they'd be happy for attention from average Joe's only.

I disagree as I think a lot of people will commit under certain circumstances / if the right person comes along.

You could say that a lot of women who are enjoying their sexual liberation have no interest in commitment at the time, but if the circumstances changed I don't think they would be completely opposed to it. To be more specific, I would say that just because they are not looking for a commitment does not mean that they will not enter one.
