For whatever reason, nobody seems to negotiate these days. I was explaining this to a blue piller the other day and I used a trip to best buy to purchase a camera as my analogy. Best buy says, "you can touch and handle this camera, but you can't take it from the store until you pay." I say, "I'm not giving you my credit card until I have the camera in my hands."

Here are my thoughts: The goal, by my understanding, of platespinning is to identify an acceptable partner for a monogamous LTR. With this in mind, how does plate-spinning not seem counter-productive? What you're doing here is comparing two or more relationships at the same time. How can you properly evaluate each individual candidate on his/her own merits? To me it seems like the spinner is holding two video cameras to his eyes and at the same time trying to determine which one has the best visual quality. That is, which one best satisfies his needs from a relationship. To me the proper course of action would be:

Best buy says: "you can touch and handle this camera, but you can't take it from the store until you pay." You say: "I won't take it from the store, but I will take a few photos. If they are up to standard, I will buy the camera, if not, then I won't." You take the photos, they aren't up to standard, so you instead decide to put the camera back where you found it. Then you move onto the next one. And so on and on until you find one that fits your requirements. One at a time.

This was a ramble. Hmph. Anyway thanks for reading. Sorry if it didn't make sense.

First time posting so I'm not sure if this should go in 'CMV' or 'Debate'. I would really like to hear both the red and blue sides of this though.
