“Exclusivity” within FWBs allows a man access to you sexually at his liking without having any of the risks/ responsibility associated with committing to you via a real relationship. I’m all for consenting adults doing as they please, and I don’t tell anybody how to live, but if you’re looking for commitment, it’s a pretty ridiculous to settle for this.

I don't get it. What is your purpose with this man? Are you hoping for something more? He clearly only wants you for sex only. Otherwise why FWB instead of dating? If you only want a FWB sure.. But I wouldn't hold my breath for something more.

He’s ridiculously brilliant. He gets you to commit to him by having you jump through hoops without committing to you.

Look, I get some men have SMV so high that they can do whatever they please. If you wish to pursue men at this caliber, at least do yourself a favor by understanding what EXACTLY does he need you to prove. Is there hope that you can win? Or is this a laundry list of eternally trying to win his affection?

I mean, is there a deadline? Is there a contract? Or is he just making things up as he go? I mean in the next month, year what else will he require you to do?

EDIT: Make sure you understand the terms and condition and if there’s any negotiation on your side to speak up. You can’t FWB with him for the next 12 months and then bring up your dissatisfaction (no LTR) because you already took the job offer. Your leverage right now is to clarify the deal and if the deal is bad, well... you can decline.

I have a question for you OP. What would happen should one of you find someone you DO want to be in a committed relationship with? In general the way men's brains are wired they don't get emotionally involved when it comes to the sexual act. Should he find a girl he wants to be with, you'll quickly be forgotten about. I know this sounds harsh and trust me this will hurt you a lot more than it will him.

When it comes to finding a potential partner, any self respecting man with a good SMV will view you as having low SMW if they find out about your FWB. As for beinf exclusive...nice way of saying you are exclusive to him until a. He no longer needs you to fill his needs b. You two enter into a full relationship. And this one is less likely. Think about it. Would YOU want a man if you found out he had a Fwb?

I know FWB is supposed to be purely physical and a temporary thing, but these type of arrangements work out well for very, very few people. It doesn't hurt to control your sexual urges until you find someone that is willing to really love you and not merely use you to gratify their own body.

If you want a committed relationship, you need to leave this guy. You are giving him all of the power in the relationship. YOU, the person who wants commitment, need to PROVE your commitment to him? Oh honey, no.

Do not send him any more nudes and never send nudes to any other man unless he is your husband.

You have every right to change your mind about having sexual with him. A women never “owes” a man sex, regardless of flirtations or promises. A married woman doesn’t even OWE her husband sex. This man has given you nothing - you owe him nothing.

Run from this man. He just wants you for sex and nothing else. Don’t buy into such “exclusivity” especially since you haven’t had sex and stop sending him nudes. Sexual exclusivity is not a commitment or relationship, it just means he has access to the most valuable thing you have to offer without having to deal with your emotions. You get relationship commitment before you sleep with someone, as I have also recently learnt - sex won’t make them like you more or get you where you want to go. And if he doesn’t want commitment from you now without sex, he’s not going to want it one year from now.
