I'm not upset about them simply having standards, in fact I wouldn't have it any other way because women should be selective with who they date. I don't use online dating so I can't speak as to that but pretty much everytime I've ever been turned down its either been because we just didn't click or I didn't get to really interact with her in the first place, so it would be pointless to complain about it. The only time I have a problem with a woman not being attracted to a man is when she sees it as basis to treat him as less of a human being.

Why do they say men are less shallow when really if it was in their nature to be picky they wouldn’t have as many offspring while women are naturally supposed to be picky?

You didn't see you were giving the answer, I get that. Picky it's the problem, women are not being effective or productive in their mate selection, as in making sure the kid has the actual best seed and best father, single motherhood is increasing and women rely more and more in government benefits y bailouts from beta bucks. If they were actually choosing the best seed and father for their children, society wouldn't have to pay for their burden and poor choices but instead we have " 3 children, no father in picture and they are my world" more and more.

Why would someone be mad about women doing what’s natural?

Incels are a misery actually but who cares. Society as an economical interest on women not relying on social benefits and Daddy government.

because women don't have sex with lots of hot guys to get the best genes/offspring. they do it for purely hedonistic pleasure. and if we go by the naturalstic argument, then physical assault, bride kidnapping, rapine and murder would be legitimate reproductive strategies as well.

Because OLD isn't natural. When women meet men irl they don't judge him just based on looks. They notice other things as well--his presence, personality, voice, smell etc etc.

Swipe apps take away all of the above. They create an artificial environment where women are deciding on men based on a single factor (physical appearance) and of course they hone in on only the top % in this aspect. This creates a large group of men who would have otherwise done fine in real life being passed over.

Now I am not saying this is women's fault. I'm a woman and if the only thing I have to go off is a guy's appearance, then obviously I'm going to only pick the hottest men I can get. But the point I'm making is that OLD isn't a "natural' dating environment therefore it's understandable why many men complain about it.

Women don't necessary have higher standards...they have different standards and which often are detrimental to their long-term happiness and value.

Noone actually believes that the girl who chose the local drug dealers over the similarly looking university bound guys in school because the drug dealer was 'different' and 'edgy' instead of the natural easygoing pleasant demeanor of the university bound jock was selecting for 'higher value'... They simply got caught up in the "why is this guy treating me like shit, giving me drugs and not the other 15 guys who pleasantly have been trying to be my BF......I have to find out why" emotion that so many women ruck up their early dating lives chasing.

Too much hamstering on this sub about the bad decisions by women in their dating choices as seeking 'higher value'....

It’s not natural for women to want to have sex with a good looking man who is also having sex with many other good looking women and who therefore cannot help provide for all of her children. This type of behavior is only possible because of reliable birth control, and is encouraged by feminist rhetoric that fulfilling one’s sexual desires by having sex freely is somehow “empowering.”

The “natural” way for women to act is to find a monogamous mate who is as handsome as possible but not out of her league so that he won’t treat her like a plate. At the very least, it is natural for some women to attempt a dual mating strategy, but not to completely ignore men in her league.

Personally I'm (a little) upset by the way they implement their standards. I find them not efficient enough at their natural selection role: they don't seem to pick the best men neither by my definition of best or by their own definition.

Also, as others have said, we don't live in nature, we live in human civilization. Nobody does just what feels natural, raw nature doesn't even exist very clearly in our brains because we are social animals. Without a deep social conditioning from birth we wouldn't walk or talk. What we do is a compromise between our nature and how our society shapes us. If we allow society to shape a large part of its members to act in ways that result in a dysfunctional society, there's reason to be "upset", or at least worried.

Why are we praising men for again doing what their bodies find natural?

I'm going to hold onto that. Because I think one area where I disagree most frequently with TRP is their over reliance on nature theories. I know that I am preaching to the choir here OP. But hearing TRP drone on about how women and men are "naturally" annoys me, so I'm going to indulge a bit. Anyway, before I digress too far I suppose I'll answer your question.

I don't believe in natural theories (as expressed by TRP), and I believe men and women are entitled to have whatever standards they want.

Anyway,

To the extent that there are studies dealing with this how human mating "naturally be", they tend to be all over the place and say that there are a ton of different and often contradictory models that could potentially model human behavior. A lot of this comes down to how complex human society is, compared to easier to study creatures- like fruit flies.

Sure, I'll concede that humans are natural creatures, and we have natural urges, that we follow. What I'm not convinced is that the self assured folks here actually have a good grasp of it. The Red Pill isn't a scientific journal I'm familiar with.

So when people on the red pill post things like this

You hear statements like this a lot to, and it needs to be pointed out that this is just pseudo-scientific posturing or bro-science. This sounds like it could be reasonable. Therefore if I say it with enough conviction and quickly move onto the follow up question that assumes what I've said before is true you are likely to overlook it.

The greatest weakness of TRP is that it is built on illusory foundations that do not hold up to scrutiny.

I think the “injustice” being brought up/seen is based on the common trope of a 250+ lb, uneducated, underemployed, bipolar, post-wall single mother living in a trailer park demanding her prospective partners to be nothing less than six figure making, tall dark handsome underwear models.

While conversely a fairly attractive , college educated, mentally stable, middle class earning guy who may not be 6 ft tall or have a raging shredded 6 pack or 6 figure salary can only hope to bag himself “damaged goods”, not his actual looks/value match.

This is obviously an exaggeration of real life dating market environments; both women and men shoot for the best and most will settle for a similar valued partner. Complaining about this perception solves nothing, and I think is largely a coping method for guys who’re are still in anger phase, or have resigned to MGTOW.
