- Finding new ways to make your boyfriend/husband miserable. Nagging, shaming, shit-testing, insults can take time/work.

- Looking for unnecessary crap to buy. Gals in the past went through mail catalogs. Now you have to research in different places to keep up the materialist life: online, magazines, commercials, ads. So hard!

- Meeting with the girls isn't simple! You have to brag about something new each time.

- Pretending to be a great mom doing the less effort possible.

- Noticing the household areas that need to be changed. Come on men, we need a new kitchen every 2 years!

- Remembering occasions and spending on gifts to look good to others.

- Arranging date nights. What was great last time probably won't work the next. Complain if he takes you to the same restaurant twice.

- Finding a job were you can half-ass and get away with it for being a woman.

- Monkey-branching, friend-zone, orbiters. Being a modern woman is hard!

I used to hate this shit when I was married.

I’d do shit when it met my threshold of requirements. This was how I approached every aspect of household tasks. I thought often, “If it bothers you, then just take care of it.”

It kills me when these whamen want all the tasks split 50/50. Then when you tell them to pull in equal amounts of money, their heads explode.

I’ve observed this with my sister who is a single mom: about 70% of the stuff she bitches about either is so inconsequential that nobody in his right mind would waste more than one second in considering it or would resolve itself if left alone, and the other 30% is everyday normal stuff that everybody has to deal with so you’re not that special.

Now that I am 42 and divorced I have made and reconnected with single/divorced guy friends and I have ripped through several dozen single moms just to keep myself entertained. The single guys always have a cleaner house with more food, more organized, etc. Most have their kids 50/50 so it’s no excuse. The vast majority of men just function better at life.

Reading this post makes me so happy that I now live alone and do not have to deal with the bullshit of someone who believes that they are "running" the household by doing a lot of unnecessary things, and nagging someone else to do the necessary things. The only thing on the above list that makes sense to me is replacing household items. I do this when I remember to, and when I don't remember I have only myself to blame, and I don't have to listen to anyone's complaints because I forgot. Silence is golden.

I don't want anything in the picture above anywhere close to my life. Take your emotional labor elsewhere and "help" somewhere else.
