Summary: #FragileMasculinity has been spawned in reaction to the marketing strategies of companies targeting men for typically feminine or asexual products. Instead of recognizing that companies are simply marketing products towards a particular demographic that does not normally buy their product (men), SJWs and feminists everywhere are striking back at their perceived oppressor, the patriarchy of material goods.

Body:

BuzzFeed, the bastion of everything masculine and conservative (sic), has put out an article attacking products marketed for men.

27 Gendered Products That Prove Masculinity Is Incredibly Fragile

It was so popular and hard hitting, BuzzFeed figured ”Why the hell not, let’s go for a second round. Men are pussies, they won’t react harshly.”

23 Gendered Products That Prove How Truly Fragile Masculinity Is

Apparently it has become sexist for products to even insinuate that men might prefer a man version. Not only is it sexist, meaning that it damages female empowerment, but it also proves that male masculinity somehow depends on having blatantly masculine branded products. And that because of this need to prove our masculinity through male branded products, masculinity is oh so fragile.

The reality is I really like men’s products. I buy strictly brands marketed towards men. If I have the choice between a shampoo for men and a shampoo marketed asexually, I will pick the man shampoo 10 out of 10 times.

Obviously it is because I need reinforcement of my masculinity. If I was to at some point even try to use non-masculine products, I could very well no longer know if I was truly a man. In fact I drink a daily dose of man juice to make sure my testosterone stays high enough to produce an adequate amount of chest hair.

Masculinity is being attacked from all angles, it is becoming increasingly politically incorrect for anything to even be marketed exclusively to heterosexual men. SJWs use a pathetic shaming tactic to attack invisible (i.e. non-existent) patriarchal control of marketing strategies.

What they fail to realize is that we couldn’t give a fuck less about how products are marketed. We buy what smells good, what looks cool, and whatever we like. And unsurprisingly those things are usually pretty universal among heterosexual American men.

We as men also have never, ever, in the history of men, ever complained about products marketed towards women. We are not weak enough to somehow perceive products made with the intention of selling to women as an attack on our heterosexual masculinity. Why not? Because we’re not gay.

Lessons Learned:

  1. Continue to buy men’s products, cause that shit is better than women products
  2. SJWs will continuously complain about anything even relating to masculinity, including the word Man.
  3. The author behind the articles, Luke Bailey, has a Twitter

TL;DR: SWJs say masculinity is too fragile because men buy products marketed for men.
