Then ask in /r/asktrp - not here.

Half the shit we have to delete are new guys ignoring THE HUGE STOP SIGN that shows on each post submission page explicitly stating personal or situational advice questions should be directed to /r/asktrp.

Some of you think you are clever by flairing your topics field reports and/or not putting a question mark in the topic, so that at a glance, it doesn't look like you're asking for advice. Only for you to write out a post and then ask for help at the end. Any topics I see like that will result in an instant ban, how I see it is you know you shouldn't be posting that kind of thing here, but because you want to you're trying to be sly.

To be clear: a field report is you showing what you did and saying why/how you think things worked out (or didn't work out.) A field report is not you ASKING for advice based on an experience, it is you GIVING ADVICE based on an experience.

We really don't care if "you want the whole community of 131k to answer your question rather than the 22.5k or so in ASKTRP." Sorry, what? You're clueless enough to need help from the internet, but so precious that you don't think 22.5k people have the capacity to give insight into your predicament? We don't give a fuck if you want your question to get more exposure. The main sub isn't the place for it. Those are the rules. They have always been the rules.

As such, I'm going to start banning people for this, it's a lot less work than removing the person's thread and telling them what they've done wrong. With a community this size, it's on you, the members, to be diligent and read the rules, OR AT THE VERY LEAST pay attention to the huge gaping stop sign that is on the post submission page. With so many members and just a handful of mods, you have to work with us. We won't get everything by ourselves.

As for the majority of you who don't do this and are tired of seeing /r/asktrp topics show up everywhere, please please REPORT any and every "help me I need advice" thread you see popping up in /r/theredpill. They don't belong here and if you report them enough they'll go away. It will help us keep the community a lot tidier so you don't have to sway through as much shit to read the helpful and interesting stuff. Thanks.
