I disagree. It's good to be sensitive. You just also have to be powerful. Being sensitive is just feeling things deeply. It's good to feel things deeply, you just have to control your feelings and make sure your positive emotions outweigh your negative ones. Most people who aren't sensitive "kill" their feelings because their feelings cause them pain. That's not the right way to live. The right way to feel everything deeply, but to live life with hope, confidence and strength so you know at the end of the day you will be oriented towards positivity, not negativity.

There is however a cost often to certain parts of "you", for each guy. That being said, being authentic, just the best version of you in that authentic form, IMHO is the only sustainable model of actual behavior.

Being true to yourself should mean more than just getting a GF or wife or some poon.

There seems to some kind of wild disconnect on this subreddit, where some believe that there are only choices. To be an over the top asshole and pussy slayer who takes no prisoners and being a gigantic doormat wanting to slit his own wrists.

You can exist somewhere in the middle, though it takes more work and you have to enforce more boundaries.

In life, there are obligations and there are choices. If you have family, those are obligations. If you have a job, that's an obligation. If you have kids, that's an obligation. There are times you can't just do whatever the fuck you want. However when it comes to women, they are all optional. You aren't obligated for shit with them ( i.e. no kids and no marriage) So, with them, do whatever the fuck you want and be whatever the fuck you are and wear it proudly.

I was sensitive as a child and into early adulthood.

I am probably only about as sensitive as the average man now, maybe less.

This took years however.

I'm not even sure how it happened.

Perhaps just observing the bullshit going on around me and living. Perhaps it was the trials of life. Perhaps it was trying to dissect out everything from my mind that was not true and was not helpful.

The duality you are expressing exists because in a sense we are dichotomous. We are physical animals, yet we are also something more.

RP philosophy is rooted in the real observation of the physical-animal side of us, that side which exhibits innate behaviors that are burned into our sub-conscious and emerge through our egos. This physical-animal side of us cannot experience love, it is practical, driven to survive, reproduce, and physically evolve - and that's all. This physical side is where our innate sexual behaviors originate, and RP catalogues them pretty well.

Yet that is not all we are. We also have a non-physical existence, we are also non-physical beings. With sufficient objective self-observation and effort we can begin to distinguish between these parts of ourselves, expand our consciousness into both of them, and even use the spiritual part of ourselves to control the behavior of the animal/physical part. It is this spiritual side of us that is capable of experiencing actual love for others - the kind men generally develop for women, their children, and their close friends, and many women (but not all) develop for their children.

And therein lies the rub. It would seem that men are far better able to access that non-physical part of themselves, extend their consciousness beyond the purely physical, and access actual love. The stories that illuminate RP philosophy are replete with examples of men who actually loved only to discover that the women they loved, never actually loved them - yes, even the Alphas, Chads, and MRPers.

Why?

Women's sexual strategy requires a level critical self-observation that expands our consciousness if we wish to be successful (in essence that's what RP is really all about), and our's doesn't demand the same of them. So while we men are able to access our non-physical side, see women's souls, and love them for the beauty of their souls and who they are if we wish, women remain rooted in (and controlled by) their innate behavior even though their conscious selves may actually want something different. They remain unable to see us through any lens but that of the physical-animal, and as a result we remain tools to them.

You may say that you "love" your MacBook Pro, or DeWalt table saw, or Porsche 911 Turbo like women say they love us, but what you really mean is that you love what those tools can do for you - you love their utility and/or the way they make you feel. When the next better tool comes out, you'll want that one, and your old favorite will get relegated to "like" or "indifferent" status if you can afford to buy the new one. That's how women see and love us.

That bitter taste to which you refer is you realizing that you'll never be able to find a soul-mate because women are less aligned with their souls than you are and thus don't have the capacity to love your soul, realizing that the best you can hope for is that their egos appreciate what you can do for them. Your soul hurts because it's probably already been defecated upon by a woman who is completely out of touch with hers (which is likely what brought you here), and now you think that's the way it always has to be.

It doesn't. You just have to evolve. You have to realize what you are, understand that women are different, and be thankful that you have greater conscious capacity than they do. Be thankful that they have given you that gift - the gift to be able to expand your consciousness, master your sub-conscious, rewrite your innate behaviors, and improve yourself.

You may use this gift, if you wish, to help a particular woman evolve in the way that you have. Who knows, maybe you can teach your chosen woman how to expand her consciousness, subdue her ego, master herself, and evolve the ability to actually love as you have? In my view that's the only reason to be married and have children. Certainly maintaining the effort required to do that and the friction it creates, like any difficult task, can be a hell of a consciousness raising self-improvement exercise.

Or, you can appreciate your capacity, reserve your actual love for your brothers-in-arms, your true boys, and your family and treat women as they treat you - as tools to fulfill your needs. "Love" them according to their utility to you, just as women "love" you, like you "love" your Timex Ironman or your IWC GST Perpetual. You may like it and keep it around until you want to sell it to buy the new hotness, or forever, but either way you're not going to let the loss of it ruin your state of being. You're not going to share your soul with it and actually love its essence. That's the hardcore RP way. And frankly if we all followed it. Our new collective strategy would force women to adapt, and the only way they could do that would be to develop some objective self-criticism of their own, evolve their capacities for consciousness, better align themselves with their non-physical parts, and learn how to truly love.

It's a win-win for us. Appreciate that.

I think more men need to embrace the idea of rebranding themselves . I hear and read a lot here men who feel like in order to get women they have to change who they are 100% when I don't believe that's the case. I think TRP preaches , learning and embracing who you are, taking pride in it , and being the most awesome version of that person that you can be . I would never assume Poets have no chance with women , I know Nerd who make women swoon . It's not your interests and passions that make you weak and a failure with women , I think it's how you present them .

I'm reminded of one of the Chapters in The Book Of Pook That is simply titled " Perfect is boring" . We can all strive to be rock hard bodied, completely stoic , warriors but people are more complex than that . None of us is 100% anything .

A lot of men do it, some of the most alpha lawyers I know behave like goofballs on the golf course, some are in some poetry class, some put all their love into rebuilding a pony car, some, as I said, love their dog to death.

I very much relate to this post and appreciate many of the thoughtful comments. I think I've made progress beyond this stage by actively supressing oneitis as it begins to manifest ("she's probably out getting fucked") and forcing myself to plate; if not consistently or physically, at least by trying to evenly distribute emotional attachment and meditating on the inevitable craving for validation. Journaling is cash money too. Stay the course.

To be "sensitive" simply means to be on the same frequency as the natural world. It's intuition, feeling, highly perceptive, and the ability to size humans up -- almost instantly -- and to basically know what they're gong to do before they do it.

This is a VERY powerful trait, if it's harnessed effectively. If not, it can be a curse, because you feel EVERYTHING, and it will get to you, and your emotions will overtake you and ruin you.

U don't have to like plates if that's not your thing. I plated for one year with around 20 different girls. I find it much more satisfying, fulfilling, and even challenging to do an LTR with a girl who I really enjoy having around. Plate only if that's your thing, but at least try it out first before U knock it.

I never could percieve women as just mere sex objects, I would always go for the commitment until they would be fed up with my betaness and kick me to the curb. I would listen to the stories of ONSs and liked the idea, but never would be able to do it (never really had much offers really, being beta as fuck.) Since discovering RP, i know what the problem was, and i naturally feel regret, but i am content in my LTR now, the youth is gone anyway, so I consider myself just another casualty of the feminine imperative. God, the AWALT thing is so cringey. Yes, the majority of women share certain characteristics that define them as women.
