They just like to say this instead of actually look at the real reason. They did it with when people didn’t like Ghostbusters, which people didn’t like and first because it was a reboot of a beloved franchise (at first but when Sony and the media turned it into “because of sexist men don’t like women in movies”, people then started turning even more against it since they were being patronizied, they were being vilified) then with Captain Marvel, no one said anything until Brie went out of her way to make sexist comments then she tried to backpedal and say that’s not what she meant.

And now you literally have Terminator with the man who is so tied with the franchise NOT included in the promotions (who thought it was a good idea to NOT include the star who became a star because of the original movie?!). What’s next Die Hard without Bruce Willis on the cover and promotion campaign?! This is clearly done with an agenda. I love that Linda is back but to show two other people who aren’t even known to people and to NOT include the main star and NOT include the character of John fucking Connor?!

Compare the Kyle Reese/Sarah Connor dynamic in the original Terminator to Terminator Genysis.

In the original, she was a powerful lead, and he was there to teach her how to fight. He was a mentor who respected her, and the feelings were mutual. They were a great team.

In Genysis, she's bratty and obnoxious, Kyle is practically a "dumb husband" archetype, and Sarah hides behind big daddy Arnold whenever she can.

That was in 2015. Imagine what this will bring.

The entire premise looks like crap anyway. They’ve been trying to scrape the bottom of the T2 barrel for 4 movies now, with all of them revolving around the same, tired trope of the shifting, changing terminator in some way or another. It was cool in T2, because it was done well and because it was new. This is neither.
