My girlfriend is the exact same. She's had terrible relationships with men her entire life. Abuse, lying, cheating, manipulation... all of them brought at least one into her life. She decided to explore her bisexuality, we found each other, and now she talks about never dating men again. I'm not perfect but I'm better than them. Just about any woman would be.

The few times I interacted with a man who is less attractive or intelligent than me, he always refuses to compliment me on anything or call me beautiful, maybe he’ll say I’m cute but never a genuine compliment. Whereas with attractive men or confidence, intelligent men, I get genuine compliments and better conversation. Don’t lower your standards thinking they’ll treat you better!

I went through that with my ex. Asshole was super controlling and when I told him I was bi he basically brushed it off or asked me if I was a lesbian and wasn’t telling him. I’m in the same boat. I’ve had relationships with both men and women, but my only long term, serious relationships have been with men. The first was a military guy who was abusive, so after him I specifically looked for men who didn’t seem to fit into that alpha male bullshit. Even the “teddy bears” and “sensitive” guys showed their true colors eventually. One guy seemed to be the most wholesome, family-oriented person you could imagine and then one day he got mad and screamed at my dog and picked him up off the ground BY HIS COLLAR. MY 60 POUND DOG.

After breaking up with my last boyfriend I’m so absolutely done dealing with men. I’m so sick of their entitlement and immaturity and laziness. Obviously there can be toxic women out there too, but I have NEVER been treated by a woman the way 95% of men have treated me 🤷‍♀️
