I love how on these "I caught my SO cheating, texting someone else, looking at porn, etc" there's always that contingent in the comments like "omg how could you snoop!" as though that's the worst thing that was done here 🙄. Great comment on your post, and I'm sorry your ex treated you like that.

I've never thought about this. Though two of my friends have the avoidant attachment styles and both of them are in relationships where the guy is more invested.

Attachment styles I'd just another astrology type label people can attach to themselves after a crappy online test.

The truth is attachment type is very flexible and changes through your life. It also responds hugely to environmental and you might have attachment problems with one person but not another.

I believed this about myself for years! With my current fiancé? I have never felt anxious or distrusting even once, because he hasn't given me reason to. Listen to that gut feeling, it's not you, it's him.

As soon as I read the anxious attachment style description I knew it was 1000% me. It was painful how much I identified with it. But if I hadn't ever really run into so many assholes, ghosters, hump and dumpers, guys who lose interest after sex/a few dates, guys who take 90 years to text back, guys who are hot and cold, etc., I highly doubt I would've ended up that way.
