I would tell them I’m here to do a job and I’m not interested in talking about politics. And I’d make a record with HR atleast that your tired of being asked about politics at work and think it’s inappropriate. Keep your mouth shut about your political leanings.

We all know that there's a lot of ingrained prejudice (colour, sex, disabilities, wealth), but these woke fuckers can't see that just expecting you to have a position because you're black is the same fucking thing as the police racially profiling you in the street and searching you for drugs or weapons.

Just do your job, and do it well, as it sounds like you do. Whenever I'm asked for opinions on politically sensitive shit, I just say, "I ain't getting involved in no political bullshit, I've got a deadline to meet.". Absolutely throw 'shit' in there. Own your position of refusing to take a position.

just an example of typical convo with workplace woketards:

Woketard: "Trump is a crazy racist man!"

RP: "Really? Unfortunately, I don't watch the news since I am busy biking 20 miles and snowboarding. No TVs out there."

Woketard: "Yeah, he is so terrible! Can't believe you don't know how it is."

RP: "Show me a video of Cheeto Jesus saying some racist stuff. I wanna see."

Woketard: Fails to produce any video, uncomfortable pause, goes on unhinged rant.

Woketard: Leaves room. Does not mention it again.

Every situation is different, but find ways to diffuse it by getting them to explain their views in detail (don't try to "win"), bread crumb them a little bit. I call this putting their hamster in a wheel. The hamster thinks its going somewhere and you just watch it run in place, it will become so funny, so you need a good poker face or else they will catch on. Works even better when they are drunk.

Be upfront, honest and defiant. Tell him you aren't interested in a political discussion and don't think it is appropriate in the workplace.

Don't bitch out and leave just because the situation is uncomfortable, better to die on your feet than live on your knees

Unless you work in a SJW field, just tell them that your political views are not part of the workplace and that asking you about them in your humble option is a means to lock out those with less popular views.

In short, don't tell them shit, be clear your not going to tell them shit, and give them a left-wing reason why you won't tell them shit.

You have your views, but you'll be hated as a traitor (against whites) if you come out and overtly support BLM, and you'll also be hated as a traitor (against blacks) if you don't.

How do you recommend I manuever this?

Work out a good stance on this that you're comfortable saying. It should be neutral if you want to maintain most credibility at work.

Eg:

"The issues are complicated on both sides, the most important thing though is that we look at the facts rather than reacting emotionally".

Something that fits with what you think. And don't be drawn on details, and do not get angry. They're fishing, you're fucked whatever you say, so say as little as possible while appearing to say as much as possible.

Personaly I would be honest, what can they do. Its not very woke to judge a black man's opinions. I would feel better having some level of congruence between my thoughts, words and actions.

I don't live in west but damn the things looks very scary from where I look. I would go with "Its sad brother is attacking brother you know things are just sad" or something like this if I really need to. But again I don't live there so take my advice with a grain of salt. It sounds to me like they’re trying to be all altruistic and PC so they’re wanting to get what your take is on it so maybe you can be a voice. I would just tell them the truth, anything else continues to perpetuate this bs. Maybe they’ll chill out if they know they have someone who’s black who isn’t all polarized about it

i'm mixed race. brown type not black. but i am libertarian and get questioned (often in a group/public setting) for "my take" on things at job sites. many are not happy with my replies. so i've cut down on being honest/full discussion.

further, focus less on your abilities and the righteous and laudable portions of what you wrote in your opening post (merit and not wanting to use your pigment) and throw them some platitudes about: "sure some of us have challenges others cannot imagine without having lived in our shoes" and let them fill in the gaps.

here, the "diversity" they want isn't diversity of thought and opinion, it's a list of intersectional group identities which they want to 'check off' for their PC report card. throw them that bone.

Your employer sounds rather unprofessional. I would say you don't feel comfortable making statements and its really none of your employer's business what your stance on any issue is unless of course you're an op ed writer. Just my 2 cents but my philosophy on work is I am here to do the job you paid me to do I dont mix world views and work always bad for business to many variables and off shoots of main issues for people to get butt hurt about. Keeping politics and religion out of the work place has suited me well in life so far.

Get all this in emails and keep everything well documented.

Find a top notch employment lawyer and see if its possible for you to sue them while you are still working for them. This will put your employer on high high alert, because it will put them in a double bind. I think it would be impossible for them to fire you in this situation.
