Yeah, you’re all “handsome in your own way” or whatever, but don’t expect me to be attracted to you. That’s where the problem arises. And that’s the difference between women and men. I don’t care if a man is unattractive. I just don’t date him. But men see a woman who isn’t conventionally attractive and get so offended that she isn’t putting in effort to be fuckable to them; so offended, in fact, that they tear her down over every little thing

If men want to be skinny with no muscle, be short, have acne etc then I’m totally comfortable with that. I don’t mind.

But I won’t be dating them. I would prefer to be single than date someone I am not attracted to.

It is amazing the difference you can make to your body if you become active, fit and sporty and eat well. Women are pressured to work at this constantly to be acceptable, why can’t men do the same? These boys who look like wimps and whine that being short and scrawny keeps them single, should give it a try.

They can change, and will probably prefer themselves if they do. People used to be told that they will ‘grow up’ to be big and strong, but this only happens with physical effort!! In the days of our great grandparents, most people would do physical work day in, day out, and so ‘boys’ would change into men naturally. 💪 Guess what? Sitting on a sofa playing Xbox will not have the same effect! Yes, you will reach age 25 and still look 15 🤦‍♀️

As a woman who has struggled for over ten years with adult acne and eczema that is resistant to treatment, what should I do? Is there actual hope for me?

I am no pickmrisha, but it sounds like my fellow FDS sisters would HATE me irl for how I look. Because of my skin condition, I don’t have the option of choosing or finding a “good man” because of how I look.

When you have a skin condition, you don’t have options.

So I just avoid men all together as to avoid being used as a sex object. Men live to prey on people like me. They think we are easy and disposable.

I have tried for years with multiple dermatologists and treatments, including Accutane and spironolactone and naturopathic supplements, and several diets. Nothing. Ever. Works.

I have faced a lot of discrimination everywhere for how my face looks. Now seeing it in this thread.

A man with acne or is short can still get ahead farther in society than a woman with acne and scarring can. I am at the bottom of the barrel because we live in a wild where the only thing that matters is how I look.

Not only do men treat me like trash, but women too.

There needs to be a place that has FDS values but don’t hold elitist fascist beauty standards that are created by patriarchy. Sigh.
