Yup, can attest to this. Men will try your limits all the time, hoping to break your boundaries or catch you unprepared. And once they know you'll allow A, they'll go on to B, C, hell, the whole alphabet. And make no mistake, they won't even need to get to the bottom before they lose all respect for you and start treating you like crap. Because if you allow it, then why wouldn't they? They basically have green light to do whatever they want. Don't fall for it. Set clear boundaries and stick to them through thick and thin, starting with the little things right off the bat - don't excuse them even if they seem meaningless because trust me, they'll escalate very quickly.

I live by this! I don't DATE potential.

There was a guy who kept trying to take me on a date & finally I said to him "why? We have nothing in common" & mentioned how much I travel & move & he's never been outside of this small Midwestern town. His response was that he could do it, he just hasn't yet, he literally said "I have potential". Umm, you're in your thirties, if you were going to do it then it would have happened already - I don't date potential.

He finally got the hint & backed off.
