I thought I wanted to be the strong silent type, but then I realized that the only person like that is in movies. Quiet people seems more beta because they don't speak up. I've never experienced girls going to the guy that isn't entertaining or showing interest.

I'm pretty socially outgoing while I have a buddy who is colder and we both do pretty well with women, same level I'd say. It's just a matter of personality, at some point. And to me being super social is just way more fun.

Being "alpha" is a general confusing term, it's very subjective. Assuming the baseline of alpha is not giving a fuck and sticking to your goals/values/way of thinking is being alpha,

the results depend on the the type of girls the person wants to attract and his current situation.

From my experience, the darker more bpd type of girls would be attracted to the cold silent guy, and the hse girls more for the vibrant guy as he demonstrates more social proof and higher self esteem.

All in all these terms are so general so the entire idea of having a silent alpha or beaming dude is pretty ridiculous - in relation to getting better results, what's better to you? you can be yourself in the most alpha way possible and still attract shitty girls if any. being just alpha is not enough, you need game/social proof.

I would class myself as an introvert. In a group setting, I will be the least talkative and outgoing in my friends group but not because I am shy and afraid to speak up. I am still the group "leader" and generally make the decisions. I get a lot of flirty comments like "oh it's the quiet ones you need to watch out for" "you are so mysterious" etc. It's me that gets approached by girls while my more outgoing friends are trying too hard to chat them up and buy them drinks while getting nowhere.

In saying that, I know super extrovert guys that are the life and soul of any party and they absolutely slay but that's because it's combined with a DGAF attitude and good looks.

The mastering of balancing both attributes in the right timings is Alpha. You need to take care of your'e self and others to get a network that takes care of you. Your'e beta If your'e only focusing on being cold to achieve things for your'e self (like psychopats and narcissists), or only focusing to be nice to get approval. Balancing both attributes are gentical and evolutionally benefical: 1. being sympathic by taking care of your'e self and others, 2. and being able to be cold by setting limits for others and your'e self. By mastering the balance, you will feel better and know your'e self, and you will attract fitting people towards you.

I don't think this is "situational" or "one is better than the other", so much as I think it's "which one feels more true to you/your frame".

For myself, I'm honestly kind of an ugly guy, and I've been told I'm actually fairly intimidating (and not in a good way; I get the feeling I must look like some kind of "creep"). As such, I've found I feel better and have better luck with people (women and otherwise) when I allow myself to be a little more care-free and joking around.

There's obviously an important line to be careful of, not to become a "dancing monkey" for other peoples' entertainment, but I think when I'm happy, it seems to draw other people to want to be near me. Especially when I've had a few drinks and I can really step away from my own bullshit, there are times I'm damn-near the life of the party.

But that's just me, and honestly just who I am, when I'm not pretending to be otherwise. When I'm at work, I make a conscious effort to be a little more no-nonsense.

Just my two cents, though. You just gotta ask yourself "Who do I want to be?", and make consistent efforts to become closer to that person. And don't be afraid to change direction; if you get bad feedback, or decide "nah, this doesn't feel right for me", shift gears until you feel like "Yes, this is it; this is the correct path for me".

In my experience coming back to the "just be yourself" platitude, one of those works a lot better for each individual over the other. For each person it feels more natural to be Jim Carrey over Clint Eastwood, then to others it is vice versa. Instead of hunting this impossible persona for yourself where you're more roleplaying a man rather than being one, it us better to find a rolemodel that is compatible with who you are. The level of energy or extroversion can vary, but the alpha frame remains the same.

There’s no such thing as personalities. That’s a female mechanism to help women predict actions from people around them, or justify actions from others or themselves. The key is to be mysterious and unpredictable. This requires knowing how to toggle and fine tune your actions between the “provider” persona and that “alpha Chad adventurer” persona. It’s not a distinction of quiet vs loudmouth, it’s a distinction between being a sturdy unshakable rock who both physically provides and provides emotional stability and being a fun, knowledgeable adventure man who is the master of the world and exciting to be around. You must play both roles.
