See this would be funny, if he followed up with “hey a brought a copy of the DVD, things for dinner that I will cook for you, candy, and a personalized sentimental gift”. Going over with just the flowers would be making fun. Ugh. Dude, the movie is 2 hours of your time in exchange for a very low maintenance date. Grow up!

you know, he could've done some really cool stiff with that. lay out a ton of blankets, mulled wine etc and playing the movie via a beamer on the wall of the house or so. incredibly romantic and still punny. men, i swear...
