I freaking love this movie. What especially makes it FDS approved is the fact that the focus is all on Elle becoming a successful law graduate - the fact that she gets a HV boyfriend at the end is only mentioned in a throwaway line at the end (we don't even see them get together onscreen). Most movies would have the focus be on Elle finding a new love interest and have that be the climactic point of the movie, whereas in Legally Blonde, the message is, yes, the HV boyfriend is a nice bonus but let's talk about how Elle graduated with honors at the top of her class!

I'm pre-law rn and watching this movie (despite deadline details of getting into law school) it really motivates me!! It reminds me of how much I want to grow on this FDS-themed route of putting my career + education first, while staying fabulous🥰✨
