Guys have a dual mating strategy also. When younger they are willing and able to put effort to chase skirts and deal with the issues that come with hotter women. If they have experienced it alot of them realize its not worth the headache and get with a girl that has other things going for them and have attributes to help raise kids.

Back in day there used to be a saying by the old school players that dimes were community property also. Very hard to keep them locked down. You would be breaking your back tryna please a woman like that meanwhile she had dudes making her offers daily because of her beauty (this was before social media, imagine now how even 7s get this type of validation)

What I have noticed is alot of guys dont actually like the game, they just want to find a decent girl and settle down. Even select alpha type dudes will burn out pretty quickly if given the chance and just take a low maintenance type girl and lock her down if possible. You see the also even on here with guys trying to learn red pill to fulfill a blue pill dream of yesteryear

Its opposite. Naturally as you age people start to care less about how they look. Usually its cause they dont have the time or motivation to workout after work or a busy day. But most it not all of physical attraction is based on how you take care of yourself, if people see that you have let yourself go they covertly will get the message that you dont care about how you look and dont respect yourself enough to take care of yourself.

Now when most of the crowd is letting themselves go and you come in well-groomed, good/decent shape and with great style, you instantly stand out. They see that you are HV simply on the basis that you put effort to take care of yourself.

It's simple, if you want people to respect and be attracted to you, you need to show that you respect yourself by taking care of yourself - this becomes increasingly more so as you age.

You have the post college dip, lots of girls stop working out after they are in an LTR. Go to a college campus and look around, you will see more 7-10 there than you will for example at Wal-Mart on a Sunday afternoon.

But shit happens girls end up pregnant, guys want to stop dealing with bullshit that goes with hot girls. But the SMV calculations for a girls value look away different from for LTR vs a plate.

No, you just start to value your own likes and dislikes more. For example, settling to be in a relationship with a girl who doesn't inject a great amount of fun into the relationship is insanity. Women are awful comedians, but they can be incredibly funny, goofy, playful, which will provide a massive amount of long-term value. Women are awful leaders, but plenty of them are very intelligent and quick and those are great assets to help us on our own mission.

Point being, when it comes to long-term relationships, it's 100% worth sacrificing outer beauty for someone that helps you live a far better life.

But I also believe monogamy is a losers game. My hunt is for a quality long-term partner that doesn't mind the fact I'm going to chase on the side from time to time, and be OK with that. Of course part of any woman being OK with that is I have to stay on top of my own shit. Giving up the OPTION to chase is a denial of who we are, and in my opinion will always degrade our self-esteem and self-worth in the long-run, ruining any good long-term relationship in the process.

At a young age, for example, I’m in college and college girls haven’t fully “grasped” the importance of finances just yet. Their whole world still revolves around social status and the hottest guys.

So naturally, young women tend to gravitate more towards the hot guys who have nothing going for them except that they’re attractive.

Then once they start approaching the wall they realize that a pretty husband don’t put food on the table or a roof over her head. So their priority shifts from Handsome Male to Male Who Can Financially Support Me/a Family.

Not saying woman stop looking for looks in a man as they get older, it’s just less important.

But, humans have an innate instinct to be drawn towards what they find is beautiful.

When you’re a man with finances AND looks, woman think they won the jackpot cuz they can be supported AND have a husband to brag about to her girlies in her book club. She can have her cake and eat it too.

In cases where women marry a financially successful guy who is also fuckugly, chances are she’s not attracted to him, just his ability to support her/the family. So when chad comes along and allows her the opportunity to feel the thrill of primal attraction, and if she can guarantee the husband won’t find out, she’ll likely have an affair. But I digress.

So are looks important as you get older? I’m going to say not entirely, it’s still a wantable quality from women, to have a husband who’s handsome, but when reality hits them, a man who’s financially stable is more valuable than a handsome deadbeat.

So now imagine if you have BOTH. That’s why we preach about working out

Normally, some men age like shit. If you don’t take care of yourself, don’t exercise and eat right, you’ll get fat, weak, bald, ugly etc.

You take care of yourself and you’re always improving then you’re fine.

A friend of mine explained it to me like this. Women peak twice. They peak at 18, when they reach sexual maturity, and they peak at 27, when they’re beautiful but supposedly most intelligent. This is when we say they’re staring down the wall.

Men peak at all different periods of their life. You see 60 year olds who look they’re 40 and extremely virile and getting puss like their the 17 year old high school quarterback. I've dated a girl who was easily an 8. But she was so fucking annoying so I had to break up with her, at first it's fun to mess around, but the juice is never worth the squeeze.

Now I'm hanging out with a girl who's a 7. She's less pretty than previous girls I've dated but has a way better personality, wants to workout with me, has an n-count of 2 (including me), goes to church on Sunday. I'm way more attracted to this girl than I could have ever been to my good looking ex.

I'm only 23 but this is the first time I can say that I've been attracted to a girl for her personality.

This is a question of "MATURITY"... The older you get, the less physical beauty is a focus. Everybody has different ways to define what "MATURITY" means for them. But lets just say that I'm certainly glad that while younger, I wasn't wise and mature. I would have never made the mistakes that helped to define the person I have become today... The older I get the more I realise that, for long term relationships, personality is important. Looks matter, but you will get bored of your partner a looks eventually. But a good personality helps keep you happy. I say that as a 40 year old that won’t date anyone over 23 though... so maybe take my view with a pinch of salt.
