stop worrying about what others are wearing. find what looks good on you and what makes you feel confident. understand your proportions, find out your measurements. like you said, fit is important.

make sure you are lifting, when you have good physique, you will look good in almost anything.

if you wanna impress the bitches, don’t over do it. The average chick is basic as hell and they won’t understand it anyway.

start with a great pair of denim, then a clean pair of sneakers. quality over quantity. invest in timeless pieces and don’t buy fast fashion.

The good news is, if you think they look like shit, it means you do have a fashion sense.

If you have a sense, you can experiment. Go to a mall or more relevant now, go to a site like stichfix and get some outfits.

You can also use this as an excuse of a conversation starter with women. Try a couple styles take a couple pics ask for judgement.

You experiment with different clothes that interest you to see what you like and what you dislike.
From all the experimentation, you'll naturally become more savvy in regards to fashion.
From this, you'll create your own personal style. It doesn't have to be unique at all, it just has to suit you.

let’s be real in this thread, if you have the physique/structure/face, you can pull off anything. Sure you can dress well for yourself, but since you can’t change your face drastically unless you’re fat/get work done, your physique is the main thing. Someone that’s tall, good looking and not sickly skinny/obese will pull off anything

There isn't much to experiment in Men's Fashion. For a casual look, a fitting jeans and t-shirt is all you need. Try going for a plain coloured t-shirt or something outrageous that gets attention. You can also rock a cool mens bracelet if you want.

I just go for seasonal business casual everyday. Maybe get yourself really nice high quality outerwear every now and then, but beyond that don't invest much time or money into clothes. Black market cannabis brokers and other kinds of criminals have ruined my desire to wear flashy clothes or stupid outfits.

Posture, clean hair, and a friendly face go a lot further than your outfit.

In most situations, you can’t go wrong with slim navy jeans, a nice jacket and a good t shirt. T shirt should be smart casual (Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren, CP Company, French Connection), with a solid colour and small embroidering.

A pair of nice shoes goes far aswell. Somewhere between smart and sneaker.

Black Joggers and a Grey Hoodie is a timeless look. White shoes and low cut socks are a MUST. Natural hair screams confidence. Baseball caps are beta as fuck and they kill your Test levels. On top of all of this, a mid fade is the only acceptable haircut aside from a Mullet, Perm, or a Bun.

I have an athletic build & work in corporate so I normally switch between a gym trainer (joggers,t-shirt,expensive workout sneakers) at equinox look to a mid-level corporate employee (suits & dress shoes, polo’s & chinos/slacks).

Check out the modest man on YouTube. Start with the minimalist shirt, pants, and shoes vids. That is a good base. There’s a webcast on dressing for your skin tone and contrast level as well. Those should be a good base, then you can start experimenting.

As important as what you wear is, how you wear it is probably more important.

Simply looking yourself in the mirror before you go out and thinking, "man, I look great today." sets up your "swag" for the rest of the day.

Gaining references from catalogs and fitness models isn't always a good idea. If you're above 15% body fat, you shouldn't wear anything. If you have a beer belly, love handles, or moobs, you have to wear shit that hides them, and highlights your strengths, like slim sleeves that pronounce your muscular arms.

If you have a budget, spend a day going to a mall and trying shit on. Find out what colors, fits, and styles work on you. Amazon honestly isn't a terrible place to shop. Image reviews are honest and you get a clear picture on what the piece looks like on others. Plus conveniently free returns if your size is off or you cheaped out too much.

I get these vnecks and crew shirts from target that are like $7 usd. Levis that fit you, get them hemmed and tapered more at the calf if you want, and some sneakers. This is good for dates or a night out at the bars.

Inspiration albums from malefashionadvice. Find the content relating to the “Basic Bastard” guide to fashion. It’s a pretty great rundown on the basics of standard male fashion. streetwear might be cool if you’re younger or that’s the sort of look you’re going for. malefashion fits seem to be people who have already developed their own style/styles that aren’t quite the mainstream fashion that most people are looking for. frugalmalefashion to check every once and awhile for good deals.

You’ll try things out that you won’t like, struggle to find proper sizing from brand-to-brand, unless you shop entirely in store and try everything on. I hate going to the store, unless I know exactly what I want. If I’m wanting whole new outfits, I tend to build lists up from various brands that fit my body well. It took time to find the ones and sizes I like. Like with anything worthwhile, practice makes perfect.

I cringe at how some people my age dress. Especially British University students. I don’t understand the baggy look either.

Try flannel shirts. They are smart yet casual and comfortable without being sloppy.

Get a watch. My cheap metal Casio has gotten plenty of compliments from girls. Also wear a chain or necklace with pendant.

Ignore the malefashion reddit, so much soy over there. Check out guys like @janis_danner and @tobiasrtr on IG, those are what I consider the top 1% of male attractiveness. Lots of cool outfits they wear, not expensive as well.
