American culture is messed up. There is an emphasis on prioritizing pleasure first, and that is often translates to pursuing things which immediately gratify it, junk food happens to be one of it. You also have a culture of normalizing that sort of behavior.

In contrast, look at prosperous Asian nations and you'll see the exact opposite of this culture I read somewhere that the Japanese spend upto 30% of their wealth on good food, whereas Americans spend 12% which happen to be the cheaper processed stuff.

The main problem is how the welfare system bails them out.

If someone wants to become 500 pounds overweight, that’s not my problem. My problem starts when they go into the ER because they had a massive heart attack and then it’s MY TAX DOLLARS funding their fucking surgeries and medicines and hospital stays. MY MONEY is protecting them from THEIR bad life choices. That’s where the line is drawn.

Similar thing with abortion. We can go over the morality of abortion (spoilers: abortion is immoral) but Pandora’s box has already been opened and all the morality arguments in the world won’t be able to stop abortion. So now if a girl wants to get an abortion, at this point it doesn’t matter. What does matter though is when they get taxpayer funded abortions, meaning MY MONEY is funding THEIR stupid shit. And then these same Can’t Understand Normal Thinkers are telling me “my body my choice!” to shut me up. Well sweetie, if it’s taxpayer funded, that’s my money, and it’s my wallet my choice too.

If everyone had to pay for their own shit, and pay for their own mistakes, things would actually clean up pretty quickly. All the fatasses would die off if they couldn’t pay for their own gastric bypass surgeries for example. Essentially, just let natural selection take its course and everything would fix themselves pretty quickly.

Few years ago I dated a doctor who had several "unicorn" qualities. Intelligent, hard-working, funny, giving and submissive in bed. But she was fat. I simply could not get past her weight. It was only 30-40 lbs or so, not crazy obese, but I couldn't do it. I still wonder if I screwed myself by being "shallow," but she was fat.
