It's so disrespectful of your time, of everyone's time. If he is going to fix things then he needs to go alone. I've noticed these assholes don't seem to think that the woman exists or has any of her own priorities or goals. It's like they think of us a toy that they set down and then later come back to play with and it's still laying in the same place.

My pickme ex BFF used to do this, Take me to hang with her family or friends and leave me completely alone. It’s an awful low value behaviour. Drop anyone who does this.

I wish I could dig up all the old posts I made when this was happening to me in my last relationship, before I found this sub.

He had five entitled, loud, rude siblings, a distant/judging father, and a mom who was very nice but generally busy helping her completely helpless (teen/adult) children function and doing chores for them. He would fuck off to, I don't even know...and expect me to just mingle with these kids who won't even look you in the eye or pretend to listen and just butt in to whatever you're saying to talk over you. He also told me his dad "would hate me no matter what" but would just leave me alone with his dad??

And when we had our fatal fight about this he basically said I was the bad guy for "not letting him enjoy his childhood home" aka expecting him to not regress into a literal toddler the second he talked through the door

This happened every weekend for a few months before we broke up (after that fight), he literally went home every weekend. Oh and he wouldn't drive me and made me bike the 20 miles but hey I got in shape

This bought back memories.......

One LVX invited me to his cousins JW christening, left me sitting with strangers for hours. His mum went off on him when he came back, he of course didn't see a problem.

The same guy invited his cousin (never met them and apparently they were having problems so he invited him as to help out)and his girlfriend to our Valentine's dinner without asking me and told me just before we got to the restaurant.....a restaurant I might add I didn't like the first time he took me.

Same guy would invite me down to his for a weekend and then spend the whole day running errands for his mum.(he lived with two other guys, I didn't know so I was literally shut up in his room because I didn't feel comfortable with two men I didn't know) I packed my stuff and left without even telling him. He didn't see or hear from me again, I had other things to do like finish my degree.

My last ex did this to me the first time he took me to meet his parents. It was for lunch at his parents' friends place. The men went off to play golf while the women stayed home to cook.

I knew no-one there. The one lady had some personal family issues and went to the kitchen to discuss it with the other women. They asked me to wait outside because she wasn't comfortable discussing it in front of a stranger. I sat outside alone for hours, couldn't get hold of my ex, his phone was turned off. Couldn't get an uber or taxi either (those aren't available in my area).

It was extremely uncomfortable and awkward for me. Relationship didn't work and I will never tolerate this level of disrespect again.
