Hello, ladies.

Hope all of you are staying safe and healthy. I wanted to reach out in hopes of getting some support and encouragement from you guys.

Recently, my boyfriend and I got into a discussion, where he suggested we separate. Naturally (+ due to trauma, my upbringing, sexual assault instances, etc.), I grew into a very anxious person. Although I learned to cope with my anxieties, I still struggle. It also affects the relationships around me, especially one with him. I was in therapy while in college, but since I graduated, it is no longer optional.

I combat anxiety by being extremely proactive and tend to stress out too much over small things. I am an overthinker. These problems are often hard to let go of, unless I work through them, and even then I tend to resent myself or others. It’s been hard to keep up the relationship for both of us, and he shared that he felt drained (on top of other stressful things, like waiting for school admissions). We deal with stress differently, so he’s afraid that we will end up hurting ourselves more in the future.

He is well-meaning and, although we took a little break (two days) to cool down, there’s a good possibility we won’t continue with the relationship. I still deeply love him.

I need ALL the encouragement I can get. I am trying not to cry too much, but it’s of no help. I don’t want to eat and I don’t know how to make myself do so (any tips?).

Please feel free to share your stories, pain, tips, anything. I want to be strong and ready. Thank you ❤️

Edit: I’m currently overseas with my family and won’t be back to the US until mid-July. I’ve been trying to look for employment but I don’t have that on the table yet. I do not have anything to look forward to, even meeting him when I’m back.

It’s hard and I’m scared to be back with no support system to rely on (all my friends are moved out). I’m afraid that I will neglect myself and will not be able to crawl out. I really, really need you ladies.

Edit: edited my text a bit more for grammar and spelling mistakes.

Also wanted to add a tip for others: take Valerian root — it’s a herbal supplement that helps with anxiety, stress, and sleep. Doesn’t have any bad side-effects and is non-addictive. I use it a lot, lol. Ofc advise with your medical provider first, before taking it.
