We have a genuine reason to generalise. As would anyone that belongs to a group that regularly has their human rights, basic respect or their very own livelihood threatened on a DAILY basis. Women are oppressed in every aspect of their lives.

Women need to protect their own from millions of potential threats that society seems to uphold. Men (especially those who have been rejected by women for their own poor behaviour) are in no position to generalise women.

Something we gotta understand girls, is that it's not gonna be in our life time. Society won't get better in the span of our lives, it'll get mildly better for the next generation. So, really, there's no point ever stopping generalizing. It's not gonna change in our lives. Men won't. And hell, even pickmes won't.

All you gotta do is stay strong and keep upholding your beliefs, ideally more people will come along. When not hating women is finally the majority, it will feel like it.

When all of the men in your personal intimate sphere are abusive, it's hard to hear "not all men" particularly when both your daddy and husband are assholes. Okay, well if my dad and now my husband both think its okay to abuse me, then how in the hell do you expect me to trust any man? "Not all men" rings pretty hollow and hurtful to many women who have been clobbered by the men who were supposed to care for them as human beings, but didn't. Using women and girls for sex or for some form of unpaid labor. Every damn day there's a news story about how some unhinged bastard killed, raped or abused a woman or child. I'm so, so sick of it!
