Good morning. I posted on here earlier this month about my relationship. My boyfriend is 20 and I am turning 33 in 10 days. We have been together a month.

He has been saying he wants to get married in 2 months and he has brought it up several times in addition to living together once we are married. We did talk about the finances and he makes enough to be the sole breadwinner if we live in modest accommodation.

One issue I have though is he is sort of mean to me sometimes and I am looking for guidance on navigating this. From Day 1 of being in a relationship he has been telling me we will be together forever. To me, those words should only be said if you are willing to try and make things work. Of course it is not a binding thing in the case of serious incompatibilities but you should at least try.

For example the other day Ruslan told me he had an ex after previously saying I was his first girlfriend. And I did feel a bit sad because, although I normally would have expected guys to have exes and not had a problem with that, I had started feeling good about being the first, and I told him I wish I would have been the first but I will get over it by tomorrow. Because I said that, he said I never loved him and only would love a guy who had not had a gf before me. That is not true...you can have preferences and your partner will not match 100 percent yet still love your partner...

He also said we will never be together, he is miserable daily because of me, I'm a bad person etc. Then an hour later he said he didn't mean it. I told him if I am making you unhappy and you feel I'm not kind, tell me exactly what I am doing and we can talk about it and I will try to change but he claimed he didn't mean it, which has left me confused. Though before that incident he was daily saying how happy he is so I don't know. But it feels like I could lose him at any moment because he says one thing then threatens to leave me.

What is your advice on making this a stronger and healthier relationship? I am in it for the long haul.
