After knowing things like SMV and Redpill, it's not even worth asking women out.

Most of the time, I enjoy my own company and hobbies.

Well, I've been injured a little here and there -- you can't avoid it, if you've been in relationships -- but none of these were out of the ordinary, and I probably hurt more than I was hurt.

I didn't go my own way because I was "hurt." I went my own way because I am very introverted, and I enjoy a quiet, solo life a lot better than a life coupled to another person. I have always been like this, more oriented toward inner life than social life, more interested in exploring unusual intellectual backwaters, rather than marrying and having kids. I did end up getting married for a short time (thanks, biology), but it didn't suit me at all.

I was in monk mode for a decade before encountering MGTOW. There was no bitterness or hurt behind that. There was just an increasing sense of satisfaction and fulfillment.

I did a poll on the subject a while back. I'll see if I can dig it up.

I have never been hurt by a woman although I've been in a relationship but we both agreed that there is no future so we parted ways peacefully with no money involved whatsoever. She would always pay half the bill, heck she would pay for my movie tickets before i even arrived on dates. She was wonderful. But it wasn't meant to be.

The reason i went MGTOW is because of my country's extremely toxic society that pressure you into getting married, and only arranged marriage by parent's choice is allowed, most of the time it's between cousins. Everyone married around me looks so miserable and sad. And then there's the annoying and expensive kids. Everyone following a decided pattern like a bunch of sheeple. Get a degree, job, get married, have kids, marry off kids, get grand kids, die, repeat. parents use so much emotional l blackmail on their sons to get married to their cousins so that wealth is kept within the family. And then there's extreme religious blackmail, that you are a sinner if you don't marry before 25 because they assume that you're having pre martial relations. F**k this society man. I just want to make money, get the hell out of here and start a new life alone somewhere where i can just travel around the world. And have an adventurous life instead of being a sad pathetic sheep.

I have always been treated well by my female partners and personally love women. What opened my eyes is seeing the statistics on dating apps and observing the entitlement of very average quality women saying that want high value men.

I have never been hurt or even had any bad experiences myself either. What I thought was bad luck with women in my early years turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

I was a late bloomer (tall, skinny and nerdy) so women never gave me too much attention in my teens. By the time I got into shape and got some confidence in mid 20s, I started reading/listening to a lot Hitchens, Dawkins and other writers. That led me to think logically when looking at the world, which led me to Kiyosaki's Rich dad, poor dad and a lot of other self-taught financial learning. In late 20's focused on making money and by early 30s started running into MGTOW content. At first it was just entertainment to watch all these men rage against women, but slowly I started noticing that what they were saying was all around me. My father, for all his flaws, always was a good father but I've realized I've never heard a good word said about him by my mother. Realized had few friends and coworkers who were raped by the courts, working every overtime hour and still would not be able to afford a shitty used car, new phone or a fucking lunch. Started getting a lot more of attention from women when got a little bit of bulk going. If they learned that I'm investing they would start buzzing around me like bees. I noticed several of them tried to monkey branch even though they were in relationships.

Long story short, MGTOW slowly opened my eyes to womens' nature. It helped that today's millennial women are so bad at hiding it too. They seem to be all too eager to flaunt their sexuality, be irresponsible and to completely tarnish that Disney image many young boys grow up with in their minds. I've also probably would not have gotten here if not for that news bulletin on a radio which announced that the most famous atheist (aka Christopher Hitchens) died which started my whole intellectual journey 10 years ago. That one announcement sparked more curiousity in me then two decades of schooling.

I wasn't smart enough to work MGTOW philosophy out myself so I was hurt a few times too many by women I cared for.
Most guys tried to explain it but did the worst job. Just bang em, they are all sl_ts, they said. These guys weren't exactly role models of mine.

A good friend of mine explained it but forwarded me to MGTOW because I just thought he was a woman hater. I knew what he'd been through so it didn't bother me how he felt towards women .

Mind blown when I visited this reddit group. Explained by good hearted people the exact issues I was experiencing with decent explanations. Never looked back.

So, to answer your question, not me. Being terribly hurt sent me down a path to find out what was wrong with me. Turns out, this path led me to a very peaceful place.

Never got any serious issues from relationships, when I thought about marriage and decided to look up the risks in university my wishful thinking got yeeted into an alternate universe.

Divorce costs and the coin flip of it happening is absurd, Id rather die than have to deal with that BS.

All the other facts just solidify and add more and more facts on how much the game is rigged and reinforce my decision to never even bother with another relationship. Divorce is bad enough, add me2, rape allegations etc.

No thanks I don’t walk into minefields. Disappointed in society that these sort of life changing events were never taught to be by the education system in over 16 fucking years. Almost 2 decades and nobody says anything about this shit.

No relationship but ultimately it was my experience with women. I had sex with some decent amount of women through Tinder and a lot of these girls were in relationships or on the rebound. Just in general I've seen a pattern of what we call "AFBB" here.

Also, women are not traditional enough nowadays.

I was fucked over during a lengthy 5 year divorce and custody battle by a mentally ill (BPD and bipolar) lawyer ex-wife and mother to my kids.

I didn't even know mgtow existed prior to that nightmare ordeal.

I found out about mgtow joined because I needed a support group while going through a shitty divorce.

Because of my experience with systemic gender-discrimination (against the father or male in a divorce) in family court.

That's life, you don't know what's what until you have a nightmare divorce and after it affects you, you find your support group online.

I just watched Dirty John Season 2 The Betty Broderick Story on netflix and I'm getting divorce PTSD (flashbacks from my own divorce) from seeing that crazy divorce true-to-life story. I'm jumping off my couch and pointing to the TV yelling "Hey, that happened to me!"

Disclaimer: I don't hate women. I have a great girlfriend.

I hate the family court system that is so heavily weighted against husbands and fathers and so heavily pro wives and mothers in divorce situations.

I hate that any time I got flustered during family court dates due to bad judgements my female lawyer would say: "Well, it's your fault. You married her." I married her because I was raised by two loving married parents and in my head the programming always was that I'd get married like my parents, have kids like my parents and live happily ever after like my parents.

I hate that I'm an outcast in society being a single dad and raising two daughters.

I show up to kid events chaperoned by mothers and I'm the automatically the outcast.

Also the fathers see me as an adversary because I go over-and-above doing things for my kids that they drop the ball on and their wives usually do. Prepping lunches, picnics, beach trips, etc. A lot of fathers don't even attend kid events. They're at home watching sports. So I get aggro shit from the dads.

So I don't get a break from 2-parent households in public at events organized for kids. It's shitty and society needs to change to accept single fathers.

So mgtow is a support group for me. I get to vent my frustrations with the system and life as a single dad here. Everyone is great and understanding.

I was never deeply hurt by any woman (that happened years prior) but I learned the hard way that when you allow women to use -- and the fault was my own -- you can't be mad at anyone but yourself; however if you learn their patterns, behaviors, it becomes a wonder to use their own devices against them.

In that revelation I just stepped back, and observed the chaos around me. Seeing guys bend over backwards for their women and then cheated on, being ridiculed because I wouldn't give into their petty demands or retorts, and watching good men being brow beaten just made be realize there are few good women out there, but the average man would never be good enough for them. Yes I'd like female companionship but seeing the reality of how this changing society thinks we're disposable, refuses to hold women accountable for their shitty behavior, and dishes out bad advice like Steve Harvey, I've just opted out.

Having experienced the “player lifestyle”, having had long term relationships and then getting married made me realize that there’s no real benefit in comparison to the two latter or even “going your own way”.

I did. I eventually went mgtow due to lack of options. Not that I can't get women, the problem is there's no quality women. Show me one that is not a carousel rider, looking for a free dinner, thinks she is the table, isn't entitled to the entire world, or a raging feminist, and I'll show you a unicorn that shits bitcoin. So really it came down to "this is what I've got to choose from? I'm out."

Combine that with the hassle of dating, risks of pregnancy, sperm jacking, stds, false allegations and even the idea of spinning plates just becomes unappealing. We all say when it comes to marriage the juice is not worth the squeeze. But the bar keeps getting lower and lower LTR's become not worth the squeeze, then casual, then spinning plates, to a one night hook up, to even asking if they want to go for a coffee. Eventually you just tap out entirely.

58 yo male here. Been sort of MGTOW all my life even starting in grade school. Would get these huge crushes on girls and hang with them only to find out they were a huge drag on my time and energies better spent elsewhere. By the time I was in my early twenties and had some income and stability I'd go to bars with friends looking for women. Met up with one I had met earlier and 'dated' for a month for sex. Huge letdown and I disliked her, no emotions involved was quite bland. Dated a few more times late twenties early thirties same thing no connection. Last one was cool in mid thirties but I broke it off after 6 months I didn't want to waste her time as she had a pharmacy degree and felt she good do better with a more educated person. Often wondered if maybe I'm gay or something but no, more of a sensitive person that was dealt a bad hand from being orphaned in my mid teens and scarred. I'm now happy doing my own thing and have accepted my lot in life as well as being introverted. There's a Bob Seger song called 'Beautiful Loser' that I identify with. Have my own machining business and lots of hobbies, work out and look at least 10 years younger thanks to genetics and healthy habits. It is what it is no regrets.

In jr high and high school I saw many of my friends get into serious relationships. Then getting a place to live together. Cranking out kids. Infidelity on both ends. Separations child support. For years money was never a problem for me. Going out when and where I wanted was never a problem for me. Now I have 2 boys. They live a good life. They have everything they need and a lot of what they want. My family keeps asking me if I want to have more kids. I just tell them no. My life is good now. Not perfect but good.

The reason I choose to be single is:

I dont want kids
I'm often moving countries and its difficult to make something work
I'd prefer to see friends or follow hobbies than date
I love time to myself
I cant imagine seeing the same person every day for the rest of my life so I dont think a long term relationship is good for me (or them)

Relationships in general strikes me as filled with manipulation and a constant struggle. Im not basically against them, but there has to be something there that makes it worth it and that is where my doubts come in. I havent gotten any offers i like yet.

A lot of it was hard trial and error until it was just good enough error then came across this sub-reddit. Read Tomassi’s book and I wish I would have approached women differently. Maybe I wouldn’t be in such a position where my finances are fucked and along with my own health. Relationships with the wrong people are a burden.

Me! I was very popular with the ladies my entire life. But alot of them cheated on their partners with me. My first married woman groomed me at 17 while I was on house arrest. She was 28 with 5 kids and her husband an OTR truck driver. She was my neighbor. I used to sit next to girls while they called their men saying they loved them and were home alone and when they hung up the phone we were banging. I've seen women do way too many unloyal things in my life at a young age to ever be able to trust them. Did those things hurt me? Hell no...just showed me they can't be trusted. And don't get me started on the secret relationships where we acted like we didn't know eachother at the bars we both went to.

Yeah I dont do this crap anymore at 30. My philosophy was that somebody was going to bang them, why not me? I didn't ruin their relationship. She did and thsts their business. Not wanting to burden another with my shitshow of a life I refused relationships. Not that I was capable of dating if I wanted to.

My reason for being here is different from many. I wasn't hurt by women directly. Aside from the "shit test" and silent treatment part, but I always exclude women who do that in response, I've never tolerated that kind of bullshit. I never dated, more for lack of interest. I like most of my hobbies and spending time with friends. In fact, I've seen up close the damage women can do to others.

My parents are separated and my older brother stayed with our father while I stayed with our mother. My father is very naive with women, those types who even make mistakes, still make the same mistake. He is hopeless. Until he put a snake in the house, this woman wanted to kick my brother out of the house so she would have it all in case my father died. She made my father stand against my brother (who hated her, he always saw what a snake she was) until she did. My father and brother were always fighting. With that, my brother drowned in drinks, he didn't take care of himself anymore, I could see that he didn't want to live any longer. Unfortunately he passed away due to complications from alcohol addiction and neglect. I feel guilty about it to this day, that I should have helped him when he needed it. My other married relatives are not happy with their wives either, they are treated very badly by them.

One thing I've noticed with women is that they're pretty two-faced. You can hardly trust what they say, and when they do something it's always indirectly. Through manipulation, psychological abuse. No wonder that the biggest victims of suicide are men.
