Ok. Need some advice, guidance and reassurance.

Married 23 years total. Two boys that are 23 and 19 the older is still “finding” himself but clean and no criminal record and very smart with the you get one in the Marines. So both out of the house.

She left 2 weeks ago out of the blue. We had no major arguments. She was upset that I had not been successful in getting employed…. I am going on 14 months now. I was just served with a petition for divorce and a restraining order a couple of days ago. In it she makes all kinds of claims like I physically and verbally abused her. She is also requesting spousal support claiming she had not worked in the past 18 years when I financed her businesses that she runs and successfully. Today she makes more money than I do. The funny thing is that the petition states that the reason she is claiming spousal support is because her pandemic unemployment is going to be canceled this month. I mean how stupid can you be to state on the petition that you get unemployment when you need to show income of some sort in order to get it 🤦‍♂️!

Anyways…. She left the house with no keys, she did take essentials i.e. jewelry. She texted my older son string that she is leaving because I have no job…. My son gave me the text. Her brothers called me and texted with threats the day after she left (I felt they were trying to lure me out of the house). I refrained and instead recorded them and file charges for terroristic threats. The police investigated for domestic violence by interviewing my son who was at home at all time at the time and they found no evidence and filed the charges against the brothers. I mean I have the police report. I am shocked, depressed bit I respect her wishes. I just wish she would be more mature about the situation…. Based on the accusations on the petition I am worried that I now have to pull out these aforementioned things to defend myself and most importantly avoid paying spousal support. Desperate for advice here in Houston, TX.
