That's just not how that's supposed to go.

Not only is it ok to admit you can't help someone, it's actually encouraged! You're supposed to be able to click with your patient and if you can't, you're supposed to send your patient somewhere else. Different therapists work better with different patients. She probably just doesn't have it in her to work with boys like that, and that is perfectly ok! So long as she can be mature and admit to that.

This person should never practice psychiatry ever again. It is unprofessional and not representative of what the field is supposed to be.

Btw if you agree and want to see change, check out r/malementalhealth. It is a support sub first and foremost and we get people exactly like that (actual incels) asking for help almost on a weekly basis. And we've never turned anyone away or victim blamed them like that.

A man has personal self care issues to the point he has skin infections and is losing teeth, but they are more worried about his behavior toward women?

The man is clearly neglecting base needs and that is a huge red flag.

How about making sure those needs are met before trying to treat him for other things?

He believes women are responsible for the personal grooming of men. To the point he has regressed to attention seeking from women of all ages in an attempt to have that base need met from anyone who is explicitly not his mother, because it would somehow be wrong to accept help from the one woman who should be expected to help him.

That is clearly not normal and screams child abuse.

How is no one looking at the mother, who apparently sees nothing wrong going on with her son?

I’d be more understanding if this was someone’s son but the fact that she’s in an occupation where you essentially have to deal with all sorts of mentally ill people it’s not only your job to accept that fact but also not to spread their situation to the entire public? Not how it fucking works, dipshit. For the court to force him into therapy, they would need an official healthcare professional to analyze him and make a diagnosis. If this fictional character of hers sent a picture of his penis to a second grader, there is absolutely no way that the court would just shove therapy onto him without confirming the underlying issue he has.

This guy needs a male therapist and a strong father in his life, not being admitted to intensive care.

Believing women owe you sex and attention because you're young and horny is ignorant as hell but it's only through discipline and following strong, masculine role models that a young man can overcome these sorts of issues.

Bottom line - this sort of man is created by women. The excessive coddling, the entitlement attitude and everything else is a direct result of a mother that never said no to this young man growing up.

Women broke this man and they certainly can't be trusted to fix him.

Kid is seriously messed up. Therapist isn’t “imposing her worldview.” What kind of person would word it like that? It sounds like OP is taking it personally, some evil therapist attempting to impose their worldview.

Kid needs help and obviously is very far off the deep end already. OP saying therapist just needs to “understand his worldview.” The entire post is about his world view!

OP, this isn’t a men’s rights issue, and the fact that you read that post and felt the therapist was imposing their worldview and not trying to help means you have some issues yourself.

Sounds like they understand the kid's world view pretty well. It's just not a healthy world view. The kid is sending dick pics to minors, expects women to bath men, women are inferior, and not taking care of himself (rotting teeth and skin infections).

The kid is going to end up in jail when he's an adult if he doesn't get some heavy intervention. What exactly are you upset about?
