It's absolutely ridiculous. She's just lumping fathers in with the 'All Lives Matter' brigade just so she has an excuse to shit on men. There are also single mothers hijacking it and saying the day should be for them too. Fuck off, you have Mother's Day and single fathers don't try and hijack that.
No dude, shes lumping the people who would try to co-opt fathers day in with the 'all lives matter' brigade.
If you had cooled off a bit and tried to read both critically and charitably, you'd have seen she was criticizing the criitcs of fathers day... actually supporting you.
I also disagree with the terms 'fragile masculinity' and 'toxic masculinity'. I think theyre biased and try to frame the discussion to cast blame on men, and not recognizing the harm caused to men by societal gender roles.
That said, the first tweet was obviously satire, whether you choose to believe it or not. Its actually pretty clever, imo.
I mean, i dont know this person, but do you think its really likely that the black girl decided that 'all lives matter' had a really good point and decided to keep it going in other contexts?
I am a man. I support a mens rights movement, but in this case you guys are embassassing both yourselves and providing amunition to anyone who would try to cast us in a negative light.
Here i sit presently at -4 points for saying 'i think this person was actually trying to make a point in support of us' but mr. "all women are attention seeking whores" is at +6.
Ill say this as nicely as i can, as a man, to presumably another man. You need to better, fuckwads.
Apparently, she's one of those who find "All Lives Matter" problematic.
All Lives Matter is 100% racism. ALM only came into existence to refute the people saying that black lives matter. If you support it, you are a racist.
People like you are why there is no legitimate men's rights movement. Because when people think about Men's rights, they think about people like you, and are disgusted.
Black Lives Matter isn't about fixing black communities
You're right, because the problem isn't black communities, it's the hundreds of years of systemic abuse they've been forced to endure. Funny that you think the problem is black communities and not the hundreds of years of being denied jobs, loans, education, funding for schools in black parts of town, laws that disproportionately harm black people.
They're a detriment to racial harmony.
They're the detriment to racial harmony? This is why I think you are racist.
Anti-miscegenation laws were still on the books until 1967. Segregation was still overwhelmingly legal until the early sixties as well. Blacks were being "legally" discriminated and prevented from exercising their rights as citizens to vote. These things are not in the distant past, we're talking about 50-60 years ago. There are millions of people alive today who were directly harmed by these things. And you know what it took to get these laws changed? Protests. and Riots.
The laws we passed in the 60s didn't make racism go away. The president today refuses to say a mean word about actual white supremacists, but has tons to say about protesters. He advocates for escalation, bringing in the military to squash the protests.
Have you seen the photos of water hoses being turned on black people protesting? Dogs being turned on them?
And you say they're a detriment to racial harmony? Yeah, maybe the way you want racial harmony to be, where nothing changes, they stay on the bottom and if they complain they get rebuked with force.
And that's why you have proven yourself to be a racist.
Because you see others rights as a threat to yours. Because you think it's perfectly okay to disadvantage an entire class of people if it benefits you.
but I won't bow down or march in lockstep with a radical ideology that could care less about their people.
Seems like every time one of the lower classes begins to seriously complain about the systemic issues that are keeping them from achieving the same level of success as someone born under different circumstances, peaceful protests simply don't work. Nothing changes until they rise up and make it hurt for you.
And I completely support them in this.
I find it interesting that of the three people who wrote comments to me about how I was wrong, two were 'All lives matter' racists, and one seems like they might be actually schizophrenic. It's interesting because it shows where your reasoning breaks down on this tweet.
Here's how this tweet reads to someone who isn't racist and sexist.
'Hey, you know how Black lives matter has a racist counterpart, All lives matter? If you apply the same bullshit to Father's day, it would be like saying 'all parents matter'"
But you don't think All lives matter is bullshit, so you miss the point entirely. You agree with the bullshit in the first part, so you think the second part is similarly serious.
And it goes totally over your head.
Black Lives Matter.
The pain will continue as long as it needs to until you accept it. Because they didn't make it 'us vs them,' you did. And if that's the way it's going to go, expect a fight motherfucker.
That's your "Men's Rights" community right there. Oh, and btw, ALM is 100% racist. ALM only came into existence to refute the people saying that black lives matter. If you support it, you are a racist. It can't be any more plain than that.
So, I'm not bothered that this sexist, racist community disagrees with me, but I am bothered that people like you exist. I just wish you'd stop claiming to be Men's rights activists, you give the actual Men's rights activists a bad name.
Guys, the first tweet was a joke, intentionally drawing a parallel between the 'all lives matter' people and the people who try to make father's day about mothers.
In this case it seems you're so eager to be the victim that you couldnt recognize a joke that supported you.
And that, by the way, is who shes calling out in the second tweet.
