Depp is a gentleman. He's the type of person who treats a beating as a lesson and learns to move forward and away from it.

I honestly never liked Johnny Depp. I don't like his "character actor" performances, and think he spends way too much time accessorizing his wardrobe for a 56 year old man.
But he's come out of this nightmare looking like a serious class act. He never tried to drag his abusive wife through the tabloids, never tried to leverage any of the salacious details during their divorce, he seems to be a "live and learn" type of guy.
