The one I love the Most is the passion planner. I love that it ls super goal oriented, it gives you space to write the good things as they happen during the week. There us tons of stuff for ideas and random brainstorming at the bottom. There are also task lists you can rate by importance! At the beginning of each new month, there are reflection questions about the previous month. You can also get them in Chronological and school year versions!

First, let me say a planner is only as good as how you use it. I want to trust a system and leave my plans there without keeping it in my brain. However, I have a hard time letting go. I have spent an embarrassing amount of time deciding what planner I want. That being said: I currently use an Erin Condren Life Planner. I like the vertical layout. I put all future planning in the month on two page spread. Then every week I transfer what I have coming up to the weekly spread as To-Do lists and appointments. I am working on being more realistic about how much I can do in one day and trusting the system. I don't think I will buy another ECLP though. It is big and bulky and I can't insert pages that I want. I will probably go with a printable planner system. The vertical layout is gaining popularity and I think by the time I need a new one, I will have no trouble finding it.

Following this thread because I'd like a big one like that as well! Right now I use multiple planners. I use a small daily one to record workouts, stretches, and monitor a couple personal goals (skincare and hair related right now). I carry a totally blank notebook (tiniest Moleskin) everywhere that holds thoughts as I think them (shopping lists, Christmas lists, to do lists, songs I heard on the radio, a restaurant someone told me to check out, meal ideas, etc.). I would do that even if I had a planner, because I'm very ADHD and I'll legitimately forget these things if I don't write them down, which in turn makes me anxious.

I use my phone, actually. I'm a paralegal, so I calendar everything, whether it's work or personal.

If you have an Android, the full screen calendar widget is what I use. I just put everything in there. BAM. A paper planner doesn't remind me of something coming up, and I don't always remember to check it. My SO sometimes calls me his secretary just because I'm the one who keeps track of all the family events and social events. I would screenshot my calendar for you but it's got all my work stuff with client names on it.

I don't have an official planner. Instead, I use the Calendar app on my Mac and phone. Everything is color coded on those, of course. I also have a whiteboard calendar and a regular whiteboard. Again, these are color coded. I like having the physical boards because I see those every day before I go to sleep and when I wake up. Plus, it can't hurt to have the information in various spaces. I'm looking into using EverNote or OneNote for organization of things that aren't really planner-related, like bills and whatnot.

I know a lot of people are into bullet journals, which are pretty simplistic in nature. You can make planners much more easily with grid notebooks, since everything can be sized out on the page properly so everything feels more even, if you want a paper approach that's more handmade.

Filofax (very expensive) and Erin Condren (relatively expensive; about $50) are both popular brands of paper planners, if you like them fancy.

There are plenty of free printables online as well as paid ones, depending on your preference. You can also use these as template ideas to make your own planner! Personally, I'd rather make one, since it's much more personalized to my particular life and what I find important. Bonus if you make them undated so you can basically use the planner forever by just changing the dates.

Im a super long time lurker who finally decided to make an account to comment here and share something I've been really interested in lately. :) Recently I got into bullet journaling! I use a grid-like Moleskine. You set it up yourself so it's a really fun way for me to get creative. I keep track of just about everything I can in mine (weekly and monthly goals, workouts, food log, work schedule, when I sleep, quotes/lyrics, how much water I drink, body measurements, all sorts of lists, appointments, birthdays, etc.). I could never keep up with one journal, but this one has been so fun and each page is so pretty! I got my mom and sister hooked too :) You can find a lot of examples on how people set theirs up on Google/Pinterest/Instagram

I use the Lily Pulitzer calendar! They have a bunch of different sizes, I have the medium one. It gives a monthly calendar, and a weekly calendar, with room to write in the weekly section. It also goes for a year and a half, which is incredible. I also use the whole Google suite; calendar, keep, tasks, etc. Tasks and calendar especially work well together. Keep is more like a to do list.

I have tried so many systems since freshman year of high school (in grad school now) and this is hands down the best one for the way that I work. I keep a running list of to-dos on the right side of the page and cross things off as they get done, and on the left (calendar) side I split the page in half, with appointments on the left and then the mini to-dos (for the day) on the right. I'll upload a photo later if it's hard to envision haha.

I love this because I can see the whole week's task list at a glance and easily go back and forth into the next part of the month, and adjust my to-do list on a daily basis while still keeping the big picture in mind. I imagine that you could color-code things like cleaning schedule and meal plans.

But the best thing is to know how you function - try drawing out some pages of your ideal planner (do you prefer to see the whole month at once? do you get overwhelmed and only want to look day by day? do you need one big task list or four categorized ones?), and then see what planner you can buy that matches up.

I have a Filofax and Erin Condren planner that were both superseded by my Google Calendar. I hate to say it, but I have succumbed to the wraith of the digital world.

I use 'Sunrise' app across my devices. It is also linked to 'Todoist'.

The best part about a Filofax is the customisable inserts every year. Sure, it's ~$200 to begin with, but then $15 a year for a new calendar.
