I was r/feminism and there was a post about a woman who shot and beat up these people following her ( kinda like paparazzi ) and someone in the comment section said “you go girl defend your privacy” and put a bunch of boxing emojis and I just responded with “she shot someone and your saying ‘you go girl’” and I immediately got permanently banned from that sub. It’s disgusting that that person was defending that person for shooting someone and then I can’t state my opinion on the matter. I mean it's a group thing. Why are you only blaming mothers (who of course participate in it, don't get me wrong) when clearly fathers are endlessly telling their sons to "man up"?

But this isn't about placing fault, it's about looking at the current reality, seeing where the issues lie and seeing how we as a society can go about and fix it. And yes, as it is now, women are generally better at processing their emotions because they're encouraged to be open about them and dealing with the root of the problem instead of just keeping everything in. And also yes, we should absolutely encourage men to do the same and as a society we're not very good at that yet. That's not specifically men's fault, it's everyone's fault. Does this seem like a fair assessment to you?
