There was a lady down the street from where i lived as a kid who would always ask me very personal questions and want to hug me and always complimenting me in a thirsty way. She was close to 50, still gives me the creeps just thinking about it.

[+]inherent_balance1 points 7 years ago* [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

I called the Police on my neighbor tonight. I was out walking the dogs and she started yelling at me about how I was spying on her when I walked past her house.

She's the "single mother" in my neighborhood that everyone is always looking out for, so I guess she figured she was within her rights to just yell at me.

Hopefully, I can continue to ignore her following this incident.

[–]topsecreteltee 10 points11 points12 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

What do you expect the cops to do? Being an asshole isn’t a crime.

[–]ibbignerd 24 points25 points26 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You're absolutely right, but it does establish a record. If he feels that this could lead to her bringing unfounded charges he can use the fact that he has an established history with this woman as a defense.

[–]inherent_balance 3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You're absolutely right, but it does establish a record.

The guy was actually really cool. When he showed up I asked him what he thought about the situation and then he suggested that just to keep things civil he'd say something to her.

I figure she was wanting me to talk to her, the one thing I don't want to do. Instead, she got to speak to the police.

[–]AnotherDAM 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My troubles really started when my high school friend's father left his mother for an older woman.

For 30 years I have listened to a non-stop barrage of how the men in her life seem to really like older women; and I should come live with her; and how she used to entice male underlings to come to her house to perform labor (wink, wink).

Fuck her - she is 70 years old now; her milkshakes are not all that, if even they ever were. Whatever she had that I might have been interested in went bad before I was even born.

Yea, creepy doesn't even begin to describe it.

“We call for feminist approaches – expansively interpreted – to challenge these stereotypes, making room to consider women who are abusive, power seeking, and sexually aggressive, while taking into account the troubled background many such women possess,” the researchers concluded.

“Those victimised by women are doubly harmed when we fail to treat their abuse as worthy of concern.”

Of course. Leave it to the academy to use this as yet another excuse to promote the feminist religion.

[–]hungry-rooster 17 points18 points19 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

“We call for feminist approaches – expansively interpreted – to challenge these stereotypes

At least they acknowledge that current feminist approaches are lacking

[–]Philip8000 12 points13 points14 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Except feminists, more than every other group, work to silence male victims.

[–]jeegte12 10 points11 points12 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

while taking into account the troubled background many such women possess

keep in mind, they're still victims.

[–]hungry-rooster 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't have an issue with that statement. If a man is abused as a child, and then abuses someone later in life, he was previously a victim and had a "troubled background". This doesn't exonerate them from their actions, but these assaults often don't happen in a vacuum, but have context.

[–]TracyMorganFreeman 3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Which is fine to consider if we give similar consideration to men.

[–]the_unseen_one 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Mitigating circumstances only really apply to women. Nobody cares if a male predator was a victim himself, or had an abusive spouse, or was stressed or whatever.

[–]the_unseen_one 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes, the thing that seeks to avoid ever holding women accountable for any actions is really going to seek to punish female sexual predators.

[–]Gordon-G 10 points11 points12 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

...media sweeps under the rug or downplays significance

[–]chambertlo 5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I mean, if anyone is going to get away with sexual abuse, especially in babies and minors, it would be women. No one would believe a woman raped a baby, but I’m sure some women have children just to sexually abuse them.

[–]TheAndredal[S] 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

that's a good point

[–]chambertlo 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I’ve given this a lot of thought; imagine a group of female pedophiles having children and passing them around to each other. It’s like the perfect crime! No one would suspect them. They’re just having play dates!

It’s horrifying to think about.

[–]TheAndredal[S] 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

that might be a thing

[–]AssCork 7 points8 points9 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

See, this kind of makes sense to me.

For decades we've seen nurture vs nature studies regarding serial killers and sexual predators, though almost all the subjects studied were male.

The common theory? Children that experience traumatic, long-term violent/emotional/sexual abuse grow into adults that repeat the behaviors.

So it would make sense that a proportionate amount of women, who experienced traumatic abuse as children, would grow up into adults who repeate that behavior.

TLDR; bitches be bitches, yo.

It's depressing that this needs to be said in order to preempt the feminist hordes

[–]hungry-rooster 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago* (43 children) | Copy Link

Here is the actual study. I'm not a scientist, but it seems that women are still sexually assaulted more compared to men, it's just that more women perpetrate male sexual assaults than we realise. Someone please check this – I might be very wrong!

Side note: the first author is a woman! Very refreshing, this is real feminism

[+]dval921 points 7 years ago* [recovered] (31 children) | Copy Link

this is real feminism

Serious question, what is "real" feminism to you?

[–]hungry-rooster 6 points7 points8 points 7 years ago* (30 children) | Copy Link

Well, I consider anything that embodies the definition "equality of sexes" to be "real" feminism.

Feminism isn't bad (it's good!) but sexism and misandry is. They're not synonymous – just as sexist men will use banner of "men's rights" to spout sexist views, so will some women. That doesn't invalidate the core concept.

[–]dontpet 15 points16 points17 points 7 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

I wish that ethos were true for the bulk of feminists. Many would say they are but when the chips are down push back against men's needs.

[–]hungry-rooster 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

I personally don't believe that, but we don't really have data on it so it's mostly anecdotal opinions.

They do say the exact same thing about the mens rights movement, however.

[+]jeegte12 -11 points-10 points-9 points 7 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

it doesn't help that "men's rights" is such a fucking stupid name. we have all the rights women do. just because sometimes they're not applied fairly doesn't mean we need more rights. plus the fact that the label is already tainted in society's eyes. maybe for good reason. there are too many misogynists in this subreddit.

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points13 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

we have all the rights women do.

Bullshit.

[–]jeegte12 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Says you.

Tell that to the male victims of false rape accusations and rape/domestic abuse from females. And all those fathers having lost their children to mothers in spite of how much the fathers fought to prove that they were the better, healthier parent.

And despite what you think, Men's Rights is not asking for more rights.

[–]jeegte12 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

why should i tell that to them? how does that support your point that men don't have the same rights as women? i already acknowledged that many people are not treated fairly.

And despite what you think, Men's Rights is not asking for more rights.

that's not what many of the other commenters are saying.

[–]nikosteamer 6 points7 points8 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Have a look a reproductive righta objectively - that is not the case pure and simple

[–]boringcarpets 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

we have all the rights women do.

Oh yeah? How are those reproductive rights or rights to bodily autonomy? How are all those equal shelters and equal funding?

just because sometimes they're not applied fairly doesn't mean we need more rights.

Perhaps, but you're really playing down that "sometimes they're not applied fairly" seeing as that's kind of a big thing in equality

Ooh, buzzword bingo; you said "misogynist"! So, what? Men should be silent? sorry but that word means nothing these days, and anything that isn't absolute deference and submission to the feminism and women is seen as misogyny

[–]hungry-rooster -2 points-1 points0 points 7 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link

I agree. I think a lot of people outside this subreddit consider /r/menslib to be the non-sexist and more agreeable analogue to /r/mensrights, which is fair considering some of the comments I see here.

Edit: I don't agree that we have the same rights as women. I might agree that we mostly have the same rights, but things like the draft, child support, reproductive rights (etc) hold us back.

[–]ignigenaquintus 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

In my country (Spain) men don’t have presumption of innocence in cases of domestic violence. Just the accusation of a woman is enough to be sentenced guilty if she doesn’t change her story and say story is not obviously false. Judges have to believe the accuser if the accuser is a woman. The sentences are longer too, is considered a hate crime.

Menslib is sexist, the same way there have always been people that were/are racist against themselves. Menslib is the result of the gynocentrism in our societies. They are unable to criticize feminism despite feminism having become a misandrist ideology.

The answer by the bot give a great insight on the position of menslib in regard of men’s rights, obviously all the criticism they made of men’s rights are based on false statements, including that absurdity that we believe that rights are a zero sum game, when is feminism who oppose men’s rights on the basis that it misdirect attention from women’s issues. Please also notice how they define themselves as part of feminism and they only mention a minor part of men’s problems and the discrimination we suffer in education, health care, security, safety, work and in the justice system. Please note how they don’t mention any of the active influence of feminism associations to perpetuate that discrimination, hide it if possible and if not, then blame men for their own problems at the same time they blame men for women’s problems as well.

They equate criticizing feminism with criticizing women, which is proof feminism is an ideology and therefore believe they have the monopoly to speak for not just all women, but also to be the only ones to monopolize the equality conversation. Their tactic is simple but surprisingly effective, if you don’t agree with feminism, then you are misogynistic and therefore there is no need to address your opinion. Feminism lacks self moderation or self criticism, and don’t accept any external criticism despite having been around for a century and a half and have the record of not addressing any of the profound discrimination men face, all the while claiming they are for equality. Feminism equality is as follows, if women are worse in a given aspect, this must be rectified as is the result of systemic discrimination (saying it could be the result of a difference of tastes and interests is considered machism, as they claim psychologically we are all the same and culture is the only factor that explains different behavior, like in career choices for example), if men are worse in a given issue then it’s their problem or the result of a meritocratic process (suddenly we are not psychologically the same, like in average grades in school or female dominated careers). Therefore their definition of equality is based on supremacism, women’s minimum should be men’s maximum, any different opinion is perceived as proof of a deeply ethically and morally flawed human being and that opinion can be discarded without consideration.

[–]hungry-rooster 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

That's definitely terrible. You sound like you're arguing with me, I agree that laws like those are sexist and outdated.

Why is menslib sexist? They seem exactly like /r/mensrights, but without the "feminism is cancer" comments

[–]DownvotedByShitters 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This thread from the top 3:

https://np.reddit.com/r/MensLib/comments/93oyty/menslibs_official_position_on_the_mens_rights/

They're claiming that MGTOW is a disgusting and vile misogynistic movement. I honestly have never been on that sub, but I understood that the basic premise was that there's little to no value in a man fostering romantic relationships (divorce being negative for men, rape accusations 30 years later, a lot of money / time spent on that) and focus on just being good individuals themselves.

They first say that "we support feminism and we know that certain feminists are crappy people using the name of feminism" then continue to say "these entire movements are garbage for mens rights".

[–]ignigenaquintus 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

There are some things in my prior comment that points to their misandry. If you mean the reason why they are, I suppose there must be some complicated psychological explanation just as there were people being racist to themselves.

Menslib consider itself part of feminism, therefore they don’t criticize feminism even when feminist associations have fought against joint custody agreements as default, against reproductive rights for men (without touching the ones for women), against discrimination against males in scholarships although only 30 something or 40% of college students are men, against male inmates having the same opportunities to see their child’s as female inmates, and a long etc...

By not addressing the misandry within feminism and even assuming their narrative of toxic masculinity and trickledown equality ( https://becauseits2015.wordpress.com/2017/07/16/trickle-down-equality-and-framing-mens-issues-as-really-being-about-women/ ) they are actively positioning themselves on the wrong side of history.

EDIT: That law that we agree is sexist and outdated, was approved in 2004, it was designed by feminists and it has been reformed, with the new measures also designed by feminists, becoming harsher and harsher. Last revision was a few weeks ago.

Well, I consider anything that embodies the definition "equality of sexes" to be "real" feminism.

That hasn't been "real" feminism for a long time now, friend.

Feminism isn't bad (it's good!) but sexism and misogyny is.

Interesting that you left out Misandry.

They're not synonymous – just as sexist men will use banner of "men's rights" to spout sexist views, so will some women.

Difference is those women who espouse sexist views against men are prominent, mainstream feminists with positions of significant power. They are responsibile for The Duluth Model and erasing male victims of female perpetrators from research. They are the ones opposing shared parenting and have tailored the school system to support the needs of only girls instead of boys. They are the ones keeping their mouths shut while society's fetish for "Grrl Power" runs rampant.

That doesn't invalidate the core concept.

What, that patriarchy favors men over women? That all white men are privileged over women (including homeless men, male victims, and distraught fathers who've lost custody of their kids)?

Feminism's core concept was never about equality for both sexes. Just women only and ensuring they get ahead instead of an equal level at any cost. Those feminists who don't fit that mold are harassed right out of the movement.

Your "real" feminism doesn't exist to the movement and it wouldn't be welcome. Stop trying to defend it and push all this "why can't we all get along" babbling bullshit.

[–]hungry-rooster -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Interesting that you left out Misandry.

I had misspelled that, I actually went back and edited it but it must've not updated before you replied. I made the mistake in a couple of other comments, which I've fixed. Misandry was the intended word - misogyny doesn't make sense in the context, since I'm talking about the opinions of women.

Difference is those women who espouse sexist views against men are prominent, mainstream feminists with positions of significant power.

As opposed to the current US president?

And either way, just because a lot of people say something doesn't mean it's right. They may call themselves feminist because they are empowering women to be equal, but as soon as they vouch for superiority of one gender, they are no espousing feminist ideals.

What, that patriarchy favors men over women?

The core concept is that genders are unequal. Feminism doesn't mean "the patriarchy favors men", that is a commonly-held belief for inequality itself. Other feminists don't think it's the fault of men, but the fault of a capitalistic society.

Considering that there are multiple types of feminism that don't "blame" men at all, your analysis of the feminist ideology being anti-men is simply incorrect.

Your "real" feminism doesn't exist to the movement and it wouldn't be welcome. Stop trying to defend it ...

Maybe you should read the academic definitions and explanations of what feminism is, and the different types of feminism, rather than listening to SJWs on the internet.

If I like Bernie Sanders for example, that doesn't make me a marxist communist. If I like Rand Paul, that doesn't make me an anarcho-capitalist. You can believe in a movement, and it's core ideals, without taking it to the extreme.

and push all this "why can't we all get along" babbling bullshit.

I never said "we should all get along". If someone is espousing sexist, misandrous views, we should not get along.

But if someone is simply advocating for the equality of genders, then of course we should agree with them. Is that not the point of men's rights?

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

As opposed to the current US president?

And like clockwork you pull a whataboutTrumpism. We're not talking about The President.

Even if we were, that just illustrates my point. Unlike those powerful feminists, he's taken to task by the media on a regular basis. You are ALLOWED to take him to task. Try applying the same standards of criticism to a powerful feminist. And while you're a man. See how you get far.

Another example is a recent advert supposedly about apologizing to men, with some women stating "I am a woman who was hurt by men". You think a man declaring "I was hurt by women" in a commercial or on public TV is going to get an equal level of sympathy and support?

I'd call having the media, entertainment and the education system on your side an equal level of power that any White Male CEO is purported to possess.

The core concept is that genders are unequal. Feminism doesn't mean "the patriarchy favors men", that is a commonly-held belief for inequality itself.

But then you say:

Considering that there are multiple types of feminism that don't "blame" men at all

So this is still a form of feminism (the misandric kind). It's part of Gender Studies and prominent feminist authors published books referencing this definition. No amount of "That's not feminism" is going to change that fact, and the fact you critics in the movement, supposedly the ones for equality, sat on your asses and didn't make your consternation known instead of popping up like jack-in-the-boxes hoping to sway non-feminists whenever they bring this blight up.

but as soon as they vouch for superiority of one gender, they are no espousing feminist ideals.

See above. Your movement failed in that respect.

Other feminists don't think it's the fault of men, but the fault of a capitalistic society.

The same capitalism that made the likes of Marylin French a success. Guess it's bad only when it refuses your requests to bed with it, right?

Maybe you should read the academic definitions and explanations of what feminism is

I look at actions, not words. Their word salad isn't going to erase the fact that male victims were ignored, The Duluth Model is still in place, Shared Parenting was opposed, the school system is favoring supporting only girls who are left behind, the family courts siding with the mother on majority of cases, and this fetish for "grrl power" propagates.

Now are you going to keep pushing dictionary definitions on me or are you going to actually concede my point and educate yourself?

If I like Bernie Sanders for example, that doesn't make me a marxist communist. If I like Rand Paul, that doesn't make me an anarcho-capitalist. You can believe in a movement, and it's core ideals, without taking it to the extreme.

The movement brushed my issues aside when I came to them.

You try hearing that your white male privilege will still benefit you in the long run, that your experiences don't compare to that of women who struggle. While you're nursing scars that have flared up, thanks to some pretty traumatic experiences at the hands of females you unconsciously brushed aside and have surfaced to the forefront.

I never said "we should all get along". If someone is espousing sexist, misandrous views, we should not get along.

Tell that to those feminists who do, though. Otherwise, you're wasting my time.

But if someone is simply advocating for the equality of genders, then of course we should agree with them.

Oh then that makes what happened to me all right then? They fuck me in the ass, I just have to "Man Up", walk it off, and be their ventriloquist dummy.

How about "Not anymore"?

Is that not the point of men's rights?

No, the point is equality through accountability when it comes to women. Until feminism is willing to push accountability, meaning female rapists get equal sentencing, false rape accussors get punished, abusive mothers in family courts don't see access to their children, and this fucking culture of overvaluing girls dials it down then Men's Rights will continue existing and pushing back. No amount of ribbon-gifted dictionary definitions and "Real" feminists are going to change that.

This is reality.

[–]NecroHexr 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

the core concept of feminism is to empower women, not to bring it up to equal status.

the core concept of men's rights activists is to fight for just that: advocating for men's rights or lack thereof.

you can see the clear divide... i don't believe it's a coincidence we ain't called meninists.

anyway, one wants power, the other just wants no oppression.

You're incorrect, feminism literally means "equality of the sexes". That is the definition.

When they talk about empowerment they usually mean bringing women up to an equal level. If they don't, then it is not feminism. Some sexist groups may have co-opted this term under the banner of feminism, but that doesn't mean they are feminist, just that they label themselves that way.

Just as the Democratic People's Republic of Korea isn't a democracy nor a republic, misandrous women are not "feminist", even though that's what they may call themselves.

Actions speak louder than dictionary definitions

[–]Omz-bomz 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Don't think I have seen a more textbook example of a no true Scotsman fallacy.

As long as those true feminist you speak of don't call out those that are sexist and refuse to accept their participation under the feminist banner, and instead cheer them on as it empowers them, then in practical terms there is no difference between a "true" feminist and those that according to you have co-opted the term.

[–]hungry-rooster 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No true Scotsman or appeal to purity is an informal fallacy in which one attempts to protect a universal generalization from counterexamples by changing the definition in an ad hoc fashion to exclude the counterexample.

The Scotsman fallacy assumes that I change my definition. I never changed my definition of what feminism is, and so this doesn't apply.

As long as those true feminist you speak of don't call out those that are sexist and refuse to accept their participation under the feminist banner, and instead cheer them on as it empowers them,

Though I admit it's not good for them to stay quiet, I know many feminist people who are staunchly against the "extremes" which dip into misandry and sexism. There are also many people over on the various feminism subreddits who comment "there can be no equality of genders without equality of men", and similar things.

[–]boringcarpets 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Feminism isn't bad (it's good!) but sexism and misandry is. They're not synonymous.

Literally are synonymous. Feminism is chauvinism, bigotry, supremacy. Any talk about equality is lip service, they've proved that time and time again

Curious, for you, what is the difference between egalitarianism and feminism?

[–]hungry-rooster 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Egalitarianism is about equality of everyone, and feminism is about equality of genders. Racial issues are not feminist issues, although there is often overlap.

I will say that feminism is often about solving women's issues, not male issues. Hence why I'm here, because I believe it's important to solve issues for both genders.

[–]thxnwy 7 points8 points9 points 7 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Feminism was never about equality. It was about expanding female privilege at the expense of men without the accompanying responsibilities. Even the first-stagers were rabid man-haters, just look up the white feather movement. It's pretty rich that in a men's rights sub you try to defend the very ideology that causes the most harm for men.

[–]hungry-rooster 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link

It's pretty rich that a prominent feminist source (UCLA) has published academic, pro-men research challenging mainstream feminist thought, and yet you still think feminism is 100% anti-men! This research is something we should be celebrating, since it's signifying a progressive cultural shift towards embracing changes in the culture towards male rights.

Feminism is the #1 enemy of men and men's rights. It's cancer. There might be some well meaning idiots who support it but it is and evil ideology rotten to the core. Its leaders were and are men-haters. Its theories are gynocentric and misandrist.

[–]hungry-rooster 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

Its theories are gynocentric and misandrist.

I'll admit they're often focused on one gender, but that doesn't make the movement misandrist overall.

Take the wage gap, for example. I don't personally believe in it, but consider it the issue philosophically. The issue itself is not misandrist, and there are "solutions" which do not hurt men. Quotas are not the only way to approach the problem.

it is and evil ideology rotten to the core

It's things like this that cause everyone to think men's rights is gross and sexist. Why do you believe it is an "evil ideology" and "rotten to the core", especially when the definition of feminism is "equality of the sexes"?

Check out this thread on TwoXChromsomes. Here's some quotes:

I am a feminist that believes there can be no gender equality without the equality of men and women.

I think men should have greater access to their children in custody battles (and thinking anything else is NOT feminist since feminists are most often against the idea that all women are natural carers and mothers etc).

in this culture we're all oppressed and repressed one way or another. It seems like there's this stupid contest going on between feminists and mens rights people of "who has it worse" in our society- it's childish.

both mensrights and twox are hilariously bias one way. Don't take anything you read on either subreddit seriously and let it affect your opinions because you're setting yourself up to fail.

It's quite obvious that feminism isn't "rotten to the core", and I'm sorry you feel that way.

[–]thxnwy 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I absolutely give zero fucks that some misandrists (not everyone) think that men's rights is "gross" and "sexist". What a primitive shaming strategy, reflective of a pre-teen girl's maturity level.

The wage gap is not real thus any attempt to fix it will lead to injustice.

The dictionary definition has nothing to do with feminism. Spreading such misinformation is like spreading an infectious disease. Please do it somewhere else: the whole world is your oyster, there are very few places left which are uncontaminated.

What a primitive shaming strategy, reflective of a pre-teen girl's maturity level.

I'm not shaming anyone, I'm here because I believe in male advocacy. Can you really blame them for thinking /r/mensrights is sexist, when people consider our sister movement - i.e. feminism - to be toxic and cancerous?

The dictionary definition has nothing to do with feminism.

The definition has everything to do with feminism, because there are different kinds of feminism. Thinking differently is simply wrong, there are many shades of feminism and this is readily accepted and explored within academia.

There are mens rights advocates who believe women should have less rights than men. They are sexist. There are also mens rights advocates who believe we should have equal rights. That's not sexist. The exact same goes for feminism.

Consider this entire thread.

Feminist researchers have published data that supports male rights, and challenges mainstream feminist views.

How can you read this, accept and enjoy the research, and still proclaim that "feminism is cancer"?

[–]thxnwy 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Feminism is not "our sister movement". Feminism is the #1 enemy of men and men's rights. I judge a movement based on its actions not its alleged goals. Sure communism may look good on paper yet after 100M people murdered in its name it's time to put it in its place.

Even its definition says, "the advocacy of women's rights." It cannot monopolize equality when, per its own definition, it only focuses on women.

FEMINism, with its PATRIARCHY theory rotten to its core: masculinity and men are bad, femininity and women are good and innocent victims. It completely ignores men. It's quite obvious in the third stage where "manspreading" is more important than the staggering number of men taking their own life after the extremely corrupt and biased feminist family courts leave them with nothing.

Or the man who's arrested on false charges following the feminist Duluth model.

Or the boy who drops out of school after feminist education "reforms" that resulted in schools 100% catering for girls.

The complete lack of empathy for men by leading feminists (as shown by their actions) is pathological. One of the symptoms of a psychopath is exactly that: unable to feel empathy for her fellow men. And feminism is exactly that. You are looking at the product of psychopaths.

Feminism is on the way out. You're trying to give mouth to mouth to a month old corpse washed ashore. You are trying to put lipstick on it while the gases in its stomach might burst it open any second, spreading its intestines all over the place. In UK the percentage of women considering themselves feminists is in the single digits. Yes, they're extremely overrepresented in academia, the humanities, the media, the government and politicians. But besides a narrow elite the average man and woman despises feminism. They see through the lies and see what it is: a cancerous movement of man-haters who work hard to put men down and divide the sexes for the imagined benefit of women. These are female supremacists who expand female privileges at the expense of men and without the accompanying responsibilities. It is a disease that must be eradicated.

There are mens rights advocates who believe women should have less rights than men.

Where are they? Also, I can probably pull the same bullshit you pull - Men's Rights is about the advancements of men's rights, and anyone who says women should have less rights than men isn't an MRA.

[–]hungry-rooster 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If we define men's rights activists as simply wanting equality, then yes, anyone who believes women should have less rights is not an MRA.

More men than women are raped in the US

I don't think that's what it says – from the article (not the study):

The researchers say that the data gives an interesting insight into the stereotype of women being considered only as passive or harmless. Instead, it highlights the reality that, while at a lesser rate, women can and do sexually offend.
