I’m glad the police saved this adult woman from the evils of moderate alcohol consumption by slamming her on the ground and repeatedly punching her in the head in front of her daughter.

I know that they were within their legal rights. But quite frankly the laws around alcohol in the United States are insane. The police should use the wide amount of officer discretion to ignore victimless crimes, and concentrate on arresting criminals that are actually harming others.

How were they supposed to issue a situation if she wouldn't give them the required information? Afterwards, she flees telling them to stay away when they are required, at that point, to pursue? Then, she starts screaming and not complying while calling them names and telling them about how they are not allowed to touch her, furthermore, hit her (officers are allowed to use force to restrain a non-compliant person). Then, she spits at an officer (which is assault).

If she had complied to begin with, she may have been issued a citation. If she complied after being taken to the ground, she may have still been given a citation with order to vacate the beach. She went to jail for spitting on a police officer, kicking at officers, and failing to comply.

It can not be both ways. If a man failed to comply, in the way she did, he would've been downed similarly and would have been treated similarly or worse. We've all seen headlines of men being killed while resisting arrest (which is NOT okay) yet, here she is acting a damn fool in front of her child while using her child as a means of defense. Just... so much fucked up about this.

I don’t disagree that the officers have a legal right to do what they did. Also yes they are required to pursue, and she basically did everything wrong once they did.

The issue is that they shouldn’t be rolling around looking for people peacefully and discreetly drinking alcohol on the beach in the first place. Instead they should be chasing dangerous criminals. If they have enough time and resources to harass adults peacefully having a drink on the beach then obviously they’re overfunded and should should have their funding cut.

I have many close loving relationships with women.

I should have said that many women feel entitled in a large part because society gives them privileges i.e. avoiding the draft (devaluing male lives as supported by feminists like Emmeline Pankhurst), guaranteed custody, etc.

There is no Office on Men's health but there is an Office on Women's Health yet women live years longer.

There is no White House Council on Men and Boys (all petitions have been repeatedly denied) yet there is one for Women and Girls yet Suicide, Workplace deaths, homelessness, and almost every societal ill is primarily male.

The list goes on and on.

Women are privileged overwhelmingly so and modern women have vastly begun to feel as though they're just worth more than men are. You can thank Feminism and its "Men bad. Women good" ideology for that.

Using the words "good evidence" loosely I see.

The study is highly flawed and completely invalid.

The study was also perpetrated by a feminist she's also listed as an "Expert on gender" a make-believe feminist title at her university, making the study political and worth nothing.

For instance, lead author Emily Grijalva, PhD, assistant professor of organization and human resources, notes the lack of women in senior roles of leadership could be influenced by disparities in perceptions of femininity and leadership.

"Individuals tend to observe and learn gender roles from a young (known false hood note the lack of citation, note the ideological line she's following), and may face backlash for deviating from society's expectations," (again, a feminist talking point) she suggests. "In particular, women often receive harsh criticism for being aggressive or authoritative, which creates pressure for women, more so than for men, to suppress displays of narcissistic behavior." (again, absolute nonsense provided without citation, another feminist talking point).

I'll note that your link DOES NOT include a link to the original study. This is usually a clear indicator that you don't want the methods evaluated, I suggest you not be so dishonest in the future.

Now that I've done the work offinding the actual study myself let's show how absolutely garbage it is:

Let's look at the actual definition of Entitlement:"believing oneself to be inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment. "

Here are the types of phrases used to judge 'entitlement':

"I find it easy to manipulate people"
[Has nothing to do with entitlement, in no way does this so "I deserve to manipulate people"]"I insist upon getting the respect that is due to me"[Has nothing to do with entitlement, the 'is due to me' in fact entirely excludes it]

"I expect a great deal from other people"
[Marginally attached to entitlement but requires evidence showing that they do in fact require a great deal from other people. The paper shows no such evidence.]

"I will never be satisfied until I get all that I deserve"

[Again marginally connected to entitlement, requires evidence that the person feels they deserve more than they do. Entitlement requires one to believe they inherently (i.e. not due to work or skill) deserve special treatment. The study shows no evidence on this.]

"I am envious of other people’s good fortune"
[Again, this has nothing to do with entitlement. Seeing someone with a fancy car and saying "I wish I had one of those" is envy, saying "That car should be mine." is entitlement. The paper fundamentally does not understand entitlement.]

"I want to amount to something in the eyes of the world"
[By this definition anyone who believes in the American dream is 'entitled'. In no way does this phrase mean a person is entitled.]

"I have a strong will to power"
[Again, this doesn't have any connection to entitlement.]

"I am apt to show off if I get the chance "
[Again, this doesn't have any connection to entitlement, given that men earn female attention generally this was likely put in place to bias the numbers]

"If I ruled the world it would be a better place"
[This is narcissistic but not entitlement.

"I get upset when people don’t notice how I look when I go out in public"
[This is actual entitlement, well done! You're not entitled to other peoples attention.]

"When I play a game I hate to lose"
[Not entitlement either, everyone wants to win, being upset at a loss doesn't make you entitled. "That was my win" is entitlement]

"I am more capable than other people"
[Again, Ego but not entitlement. What "special privilege" are they saying should be inherently theirs here? None.]

Note how almost none of these have nothing to do with entitlement.

The author is a man-hating feminist, she views males as entitled and thus threw out the definition of entitlement, the confirmation bias in this article is palapable - she just can't avoid spitting out her feminist drivel:

To get an idea of how trash this paper is it mentions the repeatedly debunked wage-gap.

Specifically, achieving equality between men and women, whereby women can garner an equal portion of available resources (e.g., equal pay)

If she thinks entitlement is causing "unequal pay" then perhaps she should be investigating why women think they deserve "equal pay" when they work less hours than men in less difficult jobs.

Men are 92% of workplace deaths, they collect hazard pay (causing them to earn more):

I did say check what it's like in your jurisdiction before hand and I always write that when talking about this sort of thing. Also it depends on the situation, in the UK for instance if a police officer is making a false arrest over filming and so on they often end up having to let you go.

It's all situational though which is why I say, check what the law is in your jurisdiction, no need to get angsty with me if the laws are different in your area. Did I even say anything about ignoring the judge's order? No, she could bring a lawyer with her and then take it to court, she has the right to attorney, everyone knows that.
