It’s become obvious to me that men and boy issues are the root of this and school shootings are the most visible part of a much larger problem.

Feminists, leftists, and their male lap dogs want to blame white men and boys as the cause itself. Shame them, Ostracize them, call them names and make them feel horrible. Yet, as usual, they lack the intellect and foresight to see that this will increase the problem.

Or, maybe they know precisely what they’re doing.

Being angry at white men and boys is as simple minded as blaming an inanimate tool being used in the attacks. It’s the same thing we do every time: we mistake the symptom for a cause and we treat the symptom.

Toxic Feminism and the damage it has subtly caused to our culture is immeasurable. It’s impact will persist for generations. The first step you can take toward ending it is to make it acceptable to begin discussing men’s issues in public. In larger numbers, you MUST speak up.

Yes, this is a case of toxic femininity.
The thing is, these are hard to collect and document because, while females (now) commit physical aggression at levels comparable to men, they are far and away the main perpetrators of relational aggression.

Excluding, ignoring, teasing, gossiping, secrets, backstabbing, rumor spreading and hostile body language (i.e., eye-rolling and smirking). Most damaging is turning the victim into a social "undesirable".

The covert nature of the aggression leaves the victim with no forum to refute the accusations and, in fact, attempts to defend oneself leads to an escalation of the aggression.

Alas, it is difficult to collect and document these things, except when they are unusually outrageous

"Toxic masculinity" is feminist hate speech. I see no reason to emulate that level of hate or stupidity. Taking a few outlying cases and act like it represents the whole is total BS and something people should stop doing, not push more of it.

Yes I’d say so.

On a side note, I’ve tried to change the toxic masculinity wiki page to add the criticism against it. Such as that feminist and men’s rights activists alike see the pitfalls of such a term, that toxic feminists exists, and that the term itself is flawed. Within two hours or less my edits get deleted and the criticism is again removed to maybe one line. This has happen four times over the span of months..

Another example, or perhaps this is fragile femininity, is the compulsive need of feminists to reframe any misandry or mens issue into secretly being about discrimination against women, in an inconsistent manner with no firm connecting theme other than "It's always due to people discriminating against women. You're insulted? It's about us. We're insulted? It's about us. You can't do something because penis? It's about us. We can't do something because vagina? It's about us."

I think this is due to Toxic or possibly Fragile femininity, they cannot handle the notion that women can be perpetrators of societal injustice, or men victims of it (Except where caused by other men), as it threatens their identities. This is the kind of prejudice we see in rape, dv, etc, (refusal to accept women as a source of injustice) but feminists lack self-awareness in that their entire worldview is based in the same kind of prejudice seen there, writ large.

In terms of perpetrator, it's the women are wonderful effect. Toxic/fragile femininity renders many women unwilling or unable to consider most women as having a negative trait, this is ironically the thing that keeps that negative trait from going unaddressed and leads to lack of self-improvement in favor of projection, DARVO, and PR. Toxic/fragile femininity is where women would rather be worse people but have good PR through denying that and blaming men instead, than admit their own faults and improve.

An example of this is the constant insistence that men don't express their feelings and such, often in conjunction (And without self-awareness) with dismissive, invalidating, or hostile behavior to men complaining about the way women are treating them. This is based in fragile/toxic femininity, and expressed through feminist theory. The actual facts (When you study them rather than just assume your feelings and prejudices are true) show that, for instance, in the bromance studies, men are fine with expressing feelings and problems, to other men, but not to women, because they are unsupportive.

Further, there's the study on norms, which shows men don't often enforce norms around only other men. Women do it all the time. In mixed groups, men start doing it.

This undermines the feminist (fragile/toxic femininity) explanation of the problem, which is ultimately just projection and a refusal to see women in a negative light even where it might be warranted. That refusal is ultimately due to the fragility and toxicity of some types of the feminine identity at this stage.

They go on about fragile masculinity, but femininity is so fragile that the notion women as a class can do wrong to men as a class shatters it, same as the notion of a woman perpetrator of rape or dv is sometimes denied due to prejudice on an individual level, on the collective level, feminism is a collective expression of the same prejudice, and they're too self-absorbed to notice it. Their identity is bound up in their own ethical superiority, when you get right down to it, and that's expressed through feminism. Pointing out they aren't gods gift to earth and are often shitty people threatens many of them ("Women can't rape/abuse"), including as a group to other groups threatens most of the rest (feminists) ("Sure there's bad eggs but collectively we're not capable of wrongdoing!"), and then you're left with MRA women or MRA supportive women, who've gotten over this shit. ("Yeah, a group of people can sometimes have negative traits and treat others poorly, acknowledging that and working to improve ourselves is important.")

I think what would be called toxic femininity is people acting vulnerable, manipulative, passive aggressive, controlling, etc.

I believe feminists would say that violence is toxic masculinity no matter who commits it.

I think there is quite a lot of toxic femininity.

Embracing victimhood is one of the largest issues. In-group bias towards women is another. The peculiar way their "social support networks" are confining status competitions is another.

First off, that's not what toxic masculinity actually is:

The concept of toxic masculinity is used in psychology and gender studies to refer to certain norms of masculine behavior in North America and Europe that are associated with harm to society and to men themselves.

So the equivalent would be the female social norms that lead to harm to society and to women themselves. As a matter of precision, I don't think we actually know why she did it yet; the claim that she did it "so his father wouldn't get custody" is, so far as I know, premature.

Even if we assume that, what are we positing are the norms this reflects? That being deprived of the stereotypical mother role made this more likely?
