The reality is that you "connect" with a girl by being sexually attractive to her. Period.

But you don't tell them that. You keep the knowledge of the truth for yourself. Instead, when she or others ask you about "connection", you tell them "You're right. I think it's just good chemistry or that it's all about connecting emotionally and intellectually", which comfort their existing beliefs and make them feel good about being agreed with, so they enjoy you more, which builds your social proof further.

I agree with most of what's been said here. While he is technically my friend, I have found myself falling out of favor with him in recent years due largely in part to the over-intellectualized bullshit that tends to flow from him more often than not, to say nothing of our differences in core values. He is basically a cuck through and through, I just happened to become friends with him before I swallowed the red pill.

But yeah, he'll often judge attractive girls as being stupid/flaky/shallow, etc, all the while relishing in the fact that he's the "smart one" who didn't have to dumb himself down for a hot girl (his wife is pretty gross). To be honest, I often think he'll judge me if my next girlfriend is even remotely desirable.

Essentially, to him, the hotter they are the dumber they must be, and anyone who actually seeks out attractive girls is shallow and has poor taste since that is apparently some lowbrow primitive way to find a mate (remember, "intellectual connection" first).

Anyway, sorry for venting. I just needed to be assured that he's probably full of shit. I've known him for a long time, and his shit rubs off on me sometimes.

I don't think there's anything wrong with connecting intellectually with a chick . . . as long as you keep the basic AWALT rules in the back of your head.

For example, I've recently been fooling around with a girl who has some legit computer programming skills. A beta dude might think, "Yeah, this is my big NAWALT moment to date a brainy girl. This is gonna be amazing."

Me, OTOH, I came right into it expecting her to want to be led. I've been rather insulting to her, but we've worked toward what kinksters would call a DDlg relationship.

She constantly baits me to break frame (seriously, she is a fuckin shit test monster) and I enjoy that because I'm fine playing the game on difficult mode.

However, I have no illusions when it comes to the fact that all the basic AWALT stuff applies to her. It hasn't steered me wrong yet. In fact, at the end of the day, if anything, she's nastier than the average chick and wants to be dominated pretty hard.

I think, if anything, the extremely bright girls want the alpha treatment more. They're used to beta types kowtowing to their intelligence, and it turns them on if a guy can at one recognize their brilliance and blow right the fuck past it to sexualize things. They get used to being someone desexualized by beta guys, and it can be a source of excitement to get a little rougher than usual.

This is also the same dude who thinks that girls in their 20s are mostly a bunch of social media-obsessed idiots. We're in our early 30s, and I couldn't disagree with him more. He pretty much hates "normal" pretty girls in their 20s who aren't up for discussing the Syrian refugee crisis because "white privilege" or whatever. I actually feel that he'd let some judgement slip if my next girlfriend wasn't at least 31 and into politics, arts and culture.

To be honest I've often thought about just letting this friendship go as we pretty much disagree on everything... The only thing keeping us 'together' is having a rich history and some similar tastes in music and style of humor.

I realize this is blue pill as fuck, but this shit does bother me. I'd like to get back into the dating game without having to deal with second-guessing my choices due to signals of "disapproval" coming from this social professor friend of mine whom I've known forever.
