Does he bring value to your life? Is he actively trying to lower your value, or does he bring you up otherwise? Is he your wingman, or could you recruit him as one?

I'm going to chime in here and 1. Kick your ass and 2. share a personal anecdote so you know the difference between your situation and a real awkward situation.

Firstly, your onetis...i'm guessing you did not fuck. So now a "friend" has banged her and you're feeling all inadequate.

This is the problem with oneitis....it's an unhealthy obsession. Imagine some random girl...and your "friend" texting you...would you care? No. The oneitis is just a random girl. Get out of your own head.

My story in a nutshell....plate with Cluster B/BPD tendencies goes super clingy after I bang her to suddenly all "I only have male friends...." triangulating our relationship...on the one hand pushing for exclusivity....on the other chasing after 2 of my "friends". Her and I fuck...hard...and crazy at least once a week for 9 months...epic fuck sessions...the kind of fuck session you'd think a girl would never give up...well....nope. These unhealthy girls always want to tree-branch because of their hopeless insecurity: clingy and pushing away.

So after I walk out on the crazy bitch for going to far with a tantrum...one of the "friends" tells me he took her out to an expensive dinner, got her sloppy drunk and she threw herself at him....

That...pissed me off. For me it was a betrayal by both of them...I had to tell this guy to fuck off and cut him off because 1) I could never trust him 2) I was completely speechless she would even consider this with a complete loser...a "Chad" I could understand but someone who is so beneath me in every way...well...it was a massive blow to my self-esteem.

See how these two situations are different? in the second case I had a "friend" who betrayed me and whose duplicity make me sick...in the first case...it's a girl on the free-market who you sort of pedestalized banging a random dude who happens to also be a "friend" of yours.

I'm pretty sure my ex girlfriend/oneitis is fucking (among other people) my ex roommate/Chad. I've cut them both out of my life while still acknowledging TRP truth. She's truly a ho and he's truly a Chad...that's the way the world works, and I accept that.
