The people responsible for doing this to the kid should be punished as well. A precedent needs to be set that if you're a college that thinks you get to be a Court system then there will be consequences.

[–]Gnometard 61 points62 points63 points 10 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

Couldn't agree more. I was falsely accused with nothing but mountains of evidence to the contrary. Took me forever to get my brain right. She's doing great though, everyone wants to help a "rape victim"

[–]OniTan 16 points17 points18 points 10 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

Story?

[–]Gnometard 57 points58 points59 points 10 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

High school party. 20 or so drunk students, 15 to 18. I'm making a drink and she gets all over me, I try to politely deny her advances by saying I don't have a condom. So, she goes to the main room where most of the party is and asks everyone for a condom so she can fuck me. We get one and do the awkward drunken nasty.

2 days later my dad (police officer at the time) wakes me up and says there is a warrant for my arrest and I have to turn myself in.

After missing school for a week due to depression, I started getting a bunch of texts from her, apologizing for lying. Weeks later, the detective confronted her with the messages he subpoenaed from sprint and the case was dropped.

[–]OniTan 36 points37 points38 points 10 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

No repercussions for her for filing a false police report?

[–]Gnometard 70 points71 points72 points 10 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Of course not.

[–]thelordofcheese 65 points66 points67 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Why would there be? Even when a female is the cause she is never responsible. To suggest otherwise would be misogynistic.

[–]Gnometard 20 points21 points22 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is why I have so few friends these days. Everything is sexist.

[–]Ewing_Sarcoma 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Why didn't you sue for wrongful accusations and similar/related offenses (false testimony, smear, there are more)?

[–]Gnometard 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Because I was 17, then 18, and so depressed I could barely eat. Hindsight is 20/20

[–]Ewing_Sarcoma 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Relatives and friends are usually here - and hopefully counted on - to provide the cold thinking and appropriate fight back spirit one will understandably miss when thrown in that kind of hellish situation and wrongfully accused of such stigmata bearing offense. Anyway, I was just wondering, not criticizing the fact you did not counter her slander with a legal approach.

[–]Gnometard 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I thought of it years later but it was too late. I WISH I had family and friends to push me to taking action against her. Now, I just enjoy being called a sexist for pointing out the double standards.

[–]Statecensor 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

If you lived in Europe it would have been considered rape and would have been convicted anyway no matter the 18 witnesses statements on the matter. The judges in Europe have much less freedom to ignore the law and government policy in some cases is the same as law.

[–]Gnometard 12 points13 points14 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's why I'm thankful for the text message evidence. Although, the social stigma is/was pretty nasty. I don't care what women say, they like a man that takes charge.... not one afraid to make a move.

[–]Kharewn 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That depends greatly on where in Europe.

[–]Black-Zero3 points 10 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

So are you saying in Europe he would have still been charged with rape even though the "victim" fully admits she lied?

What happens if he has refused sex then she filed the claim anyway then admitted it was fault. Could he be charged with rape even though they never has sex?

[–]Ewing_Sarcoma -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's complete bullshit. Of course not, both your questions.

[–]Ewing_Sarcoma -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's a shitload of horseshit here, fucktard.

I have left reddit for Voat due to years of admin mismanagement and preferential treatment for certain subreddits and users holding certain political and ideological views.

The situation has gotten especially worse since the appointment of Ellen Pao as CEO, culminating in the seemingly unjustified firings of several valuable employees and bans on hundreds of vibrant communities on completely trumped-up charges.

The resignation of Ellen Pao and the appointment of Steve Huffman as CEO, despite initial hopes, has continued the same trend.

As an act of protest, I have chosen to redact all the comments I've ever made on reddit, overwriting them with this message.

If you would like to do the same, install TamperMonkey for Chrome, GreaseMonkey for Firefox, NinjaKit for Safari, Violent Monkey for Opera, or AdGuard for Internet Explorer (in Advanced Mode), then add this GreaseMonkey script.

Finally, click on your username at the top right corner of reddit, click on comments, and click on the new OVERWRITE button at the top of the page. You may need to scroll down to multiple comment pages if you have commented a lot.

After doing all of the above, you are welcome to join me on Voat!

i love how this is the go-to excuse when regret rears its head. so pathetic...

[–]anderson_buck 69 points70 points71 points 10 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

These statements get thrown in there to taint the story. I'm guessing the author thinks he was guilty simply because she accused him because no one would ever lie about something this serious, right?

It could have easily been written to say "an alien could have descended from the heavens, though no evidence established this". That simple addition is pure conjecture and has no business being written except to get the author's opinion included in the narrative.

[–]floppymammarygland30 points 10 years ago* [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

opinion included in the narrative

bingo!

[–]teflon_honey_badger 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yep, whenever I see that word narrative being thrown around it tells me one thing. Somebody is telling stories.

I kept hearing this about my local bar. This bar needs no bouncers because the customers take care of it. Hell, the bar backs complain that we leave them nothing to do! Well, after a few girls said they were getting drugged I talked to my buddy the bar manager and we looked at videos and their tabs.

Nobody drugged them. They were drinking like frat boys but only about 120 lbs each. So, now the bar has to employ extra bouncers which drove the cost of a pint up $1 and the bartenders have to split their tips further

The self awareness is ridiculous. Just admit you're a slut and you'll gain more respect.

Edit : I'd like to add I was fucking both of these girls a few months prior. They started getting "drugged" after I said I didn't want to be involved with people so involved with every cock aged 20 to 40.

[–]OniTan 13 points14 points15 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Why did the bar hire extra bouncers if the girls WEREN'T getting drugged?

[–]Gnometard 28 points29 points30 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Because that's how social justice works. Someone made a claim of violence and they had to act.

[–]floppymammarygland18 points 10 years ago* [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]onemoreape 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I had a girl tell me she's been roofied 6 times. It's sad that she believes that.

[–]Shitty_Human_Being 9 points10 points11 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Same thing happened in my town.

She was adamant that she'd been slipped something. I was there the entire night. She downed a fucking 1L bottle of neat vodka. 1 litre of neat vodka! Then she has the balls to say that someone slipped her something because she got shitfaced.

She was all over every guy in the house and she still "got raped".

[–]RedeemingVices 9 points10 points11 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Women are literally never responsible for their own actions. It's always someone else's fault, somehow. And even though they need us to treat them like feeble-minded idiots with no willpower, they also demand to be treated as equals worthy of respect. It's tragic and hilarious at the same time.

[–]floppymammarygland5 points 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Privilege, power, respect, and authority all without the risk or responsibility.

[–]bryanrobh 14 points15 points16 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Hey they have to figure out a way to cover up the fact they make bad decisions.

[+]wasimwesley -14 points-13 points-12 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Either he fucked a girl after she just barfed, or he roofied her and fucked her.

Either way, would you want YOUR daughter or female relatives to be subject to horny guys just because they had a few drinks?

[–]floppymammarygland9 points 10 years ago* [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

Wat? I absolutely wouldn't want my daughter acting like a slut.

[–]wasimwesley-2 points 10 years ago* [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

Being drunk is the same thing as being slutty? That's so fucking dense to say she's being a slut because a guy had sex with her when she's falling-down, barfing, drunk.

Have you never had too many drinks?

If a guy fucked you in the ass while you had too many drinks, would you not want to be able to press charges?

What if you were so drunk that your gay thoughts came to the surface and maybe you accidentally let it happen?

Yeah fuck this sub, I liked the idea at first but shit like this just shows how stupid some people on reddit are.

Seriously, if you fuck a girl IMMEDIATELY after she vomits, and YOU were the one helping to clean her up, you're ARE violating her - you ARE taking advantage of her state, and you ARE fucking gross for wanting to fuck a drunk, vomiting girl because you can't get sex from a sober, clean girl.

[–]floppymammarygland2 points 10 years ago* [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

lol @ gay tendencies

Getting drunk to the point of being helpless is stupid AND slutty behavior. As a grown-ass adult I make it a point not to have too many (when in questionable company) in order to keep myself from being harmed. It's not hard.

Edit: That was my upvote btw

[–]wasimwesley 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, notice the 'questionable company' part. Having a friend who is supposed to be helping you is supposed to be someone you can trust, eh?

[–]cherrycheesecake 35 points36 points37 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Well, here's to hoping it'll strike a blow in California as well. SB967 is a complete nightmare from the legal standpoint for a defendant of any gender the moment it was first passed.

[–]Dis_mah_mobile_one 23 points24 points25 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not that it was ever intended to be used against women.

[–]dsolomo 28 points29 points30 points 10 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Wow hope this sets some precedence. I have a good friend who was accused of raping someone and as the trial was drawing to a close everyone on the judgement panel took him aside and told him they believed him. He was still suspended because they were required to do something to him because the charges were brought against him. Just disgusting

[–]XA36 19 points20 points21 points 10 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

A guy from my old town was accused of tying up a girl and raping her, he claimed he was innocent, the court wanted phone records and they found out she sent him text messages telling him how she wanted him to tie her up and fuck her.

[–]dsolomo 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

what was the result..?

[–]XA36 13 points14 points15 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Neither ended up being charged, she never mentioned texting him or coming on to him at all so the evidence was really exonerating. Apparently she had a boyfriend and either decided to set this guy up or got got cheating and threw the kid under the bus. She never had bruises or evidence of struggle but could tell the police where he had rope. I'm sure he would've been fucked if it weren't for the text messages.

[–]dsolomo 14 points15 points16 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Wow thats disturbing. It woulda been nice for her to be charged with something

Yes DOES mean yes, unless you're a feminist of course.

[–]Dick_n_a_Box 10 points11 points12 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Sometimes yes means no, a week later.

[–]Tremendousdread 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Polaris2246 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]AtomicBLB 3 points4 points5 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]RedeemingVices 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The bitch who accused him should get jail time.

[–]OniTan 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Do NOT "listen and believe." Listen, look for evidence, then believe or not based on that.

[–]Zeddikus 21 points22 points23 points 10 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Note to every guy here. If you follow a girl into a bathroom where she is sick from too much to drink and then coax her back to your room to have sex, don't be surprised when you find a shitstorm in your life afterwards. I don't think it is wrong to tell women it is a bad idea to walk down a dark alley late at night, just as I don't think it is wrong to tell guys not to try and fuck a girl who has drank so much she is sick from it. Neither situation is a good one, and shit can go very badly if caution is thrown to the wind.

[–]aknutty 12 points13 points14 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Problem is they don't even have to be blind drunk just drunk and feel bad after

[–]DeeJayFresh 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And that's the grey area. It takes me 3 drinks to start impeding my judgement. For you it may take 2 , 4 or 6.

[–]ruskeeblue[S] 6 points7 points8 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You added the "coax" , sometimes they "coax" you into sex.

[–]Zeddikus -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Which has what to do with identifying a bad situation and avoiding it exactly? You can hem and haw over the semantics or who might or could be to blame, i am dropping sage advice that can prevent guys from experiencing this guys last few years of fun.

[–]Cagg 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They were friends, and went there together, for all you know he was taking care of her then she came onto him. Or he was drunk as well and who knows.

Point is in college at my frat I walked plenty of sick sorority girls home after mixers. Many of them asked me to come inside to "help them make it upstairs". I got a sister to help them from downstairs, but had I been shit drunk too... fuck idk.

[–]OdinSQL 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Often it's a girl that had 1 - 2 dirks wants to bang a random guy but her friends or boyfriend finds out about it and suddenly she claims that she was drugged and raped.

[–]Quihatzin 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

happened at my university. at a frat that was ironically known for actually drugging girls(the stereotype i mean(i dont know if they actually did)). She hooked up with dude, bf came over to the house cause he heard she was there. she cries she was drugged. cops show up and I heard even they were in disbelief. the next week i saw her on campus with titties all hanging out in a low cut shirt. Weirdest reaction to being raped i ever saw. most women dont show their bodies after such a traumatic event. mind you this was 2001 so memories fade.

I'm not so sure, either. If he found her in the bathroom--sick--and coaxed her back to a bedroom under the pretext of taking care of her, then proceeded to force himself on her when she was beyond the capacity to resist, then yes, that would make him guilty.

I'm not saying that is what happened, but with how little we know about the story it very well could have. And if it did go down that way, that would indeed be rape.

All said, the burden of proof still exists and if the prosecutor wasn't able to provide proof, then the court did the right thing under the law.

Once you've had actual interaction with actual females you'll quickly learn that women think they get slipped something far, far, far more frequently than is humanly possible.

Yep. It's their gender's excuse for not being responsible and consuming too much of an intoxicating substance by their own volition.

Far less sketchy than sex in the living room of a house party..

This Mother May I bullshit isn't just an assassination attempt on lust and passion, but it's just another evidence as proof that females cannot be responsible for themselves, and thus should not be allowed to be in possession of the rights of an adult. They have shown themselves that they should always be subjugated and under control.

see everyone's taken a side and isn't considering a victim not having enough evidence to prove anything. I'm just saying this isn't black and white and anyone who thinks it is, is fucked in the head. it happens ALL the time.

throwaway here because I know how y'all can be.

for what it's worth, I used to know molly before she left town. she ended up calling out of work the day after the party, and when she finally returned she was obviously still very distraught over what corey did to her. it took her some time to finally talk about what happened, and even then I could tell it was really hard for her to keep it together. I know other women who have been victims of rape, and she wasn't acting like a person recalling a drunk mistake. I don't doubt that he's guilty, and he's only "triumphing" now because he was a popular athlete from a well-off family.

When she "finally" returned a day later? Do you know how many people call out of work the day after a party?

Translation: I'm too much of a coward to personally stand behind my opinions even though this is still just the internet and fake internet points.
