If you want conviction rates to increase honestly then you must increase the number of reports, investigations, and trials. That requires more women to enter into the system and use the process whether they like it or not. No ticket, no laundry.

Claiming the campus is responsible for your health and safety is asking for curfews, segregated campuses, and zero personal freedom on campus. Choose your poison carefully ladies.

Why do we need any special laws for college rape anyway? It's just regular rape with alleged victims and/or perps who happen to be in college. How about we just repeal the existing shitty laws that create these kangaroo courts and not make any new crappy laws?

Get rid of campus kangaroo courts adjudicating felonies. Feminists are only in favor of them because with stripped due process rights, and code of conduct definitions of assault that border on the ludicrous, it is almost guaranteed that an accused man will lose.

It's very telling when the groups opposing something put on a grand face of pretending they don't understand the issue and taking a bold stand against the strawman they erect.

Under this act every woman would be free to go to whomever they want for support, and report the crime to whomever they wished...none of that could be stopped by any law anyway.

This act literally affects the victim in no way whatsoever...except so far as they don't get to pick the venue and the standards of proof the accused will be judged under.

What does it tell us when groups like this sorority are standing boldly AGAINST due process and fairness in adjudication of assault accusations?

Which has been 100% the issue. Colleges think they have the right to replace the police and courts with their own half-assed system, that shit has to go.

No other form of misconduct would face this sort of requirement.

I've never been a victim of crime on campus. Do any other forms of misconduct go unreported to police but reported to the university like robbery or battery? Do universities investigate physical assaults or car theft instead of passing the matter to police?

Well, you can't require rape accusers to report their crimes to anyone.

However, you could require campus authorities to report crimes to the police, that are reported to them.

Can you please delete your post and re-word your post in a careful fashion to describe what the bill actually requires?

Because, it makes a huge difference as to whether people would support it.

It seems only responsible for police to be involved in such a serious accusation. Schools will have police investigate anything else, but make special dispensation for rape accusers. Why? So that due process can be skipped in favor of "listen and believe?"

There are a lot of valid reasons why a rape victim would not want to go to the police, and they shouldn't be forced to. Getting rid of kangaroo courts is good, forcing rape victims to go to the police when they would rather not is bad.
