Still at least the feminists are realising that they are looking like bigots and have a PR problem that they can't control with censorship, as they would have done in the past. This (feminists feeling forced to address criticism) seems to be becoming more common..... although as this article shows their response is pathetic usually. In as much as any "logic" is used in the reply it's the logic of the bigot. That is to say the assumption is that women deserve their revenge on men as a class. All men are guilty and therefore all deserve punishment / revenge from women. A man might say well I'm not a rapist or whatever so your logic that I deserve being treated like shit makes no sense. No says the feminist, all men are rapists, all men are shitty oppressors and that's all they are. So you all deserve to be treated like shit.

This is the logic of the bigot who criminalizes how a whole group of people are born. There's no such thing as an "innocent" man so collective punishment for revenge is justified. This is why feminists have in the past never responded to critics; when they do, they make themselves look even worse than if they'd just shut up.

Answer: Because female president, wage gap, swedish level parental leave, and free tampons, birth control, and abortions.

Ok, well then I'll stop objectifying women without guilt when blow jobs are free and on demand, men can choose not to pay child support, condoms feel like a vagina, a female president gets the job then quits to have a baby and doesn't come back, and I can just get paid to not be at my job because my dick works.

Male professional athletes don't need to be conventionally good-looking to get media coverage.

Male professional athletes are the basis for male attractiveness for goodness sake, well them and boy-bands. And I may just be a silly swede but most of our female professional athletes get their media coverage because they excel at their sport, just like the male ones. However when it comes to money in sports you basically get paid for your performance. Women do not preform as well physically as men with the same training, it just doesn't work that way (except for the exception that confirms the rule). The day a womens football team can compete with a men's football team with the same rules etc. is the day they deserve the same pay. Watching sports is about exceptional human beings excelling over the rest, not about a percentage increase in a single persons abilities. That is what actually playing sports is for, becoming better than yourself and having fun while doing it.

This is more ridiculous nonsense. I wonder if they've even talked to men before as friends. If so, they would know that we have body issues just as much as they do. Why do they think that so many teen and college boys go on paleo diets and spend more time in the weight room than in the classroom? Why do they think that teen boys freak out about their penis sizes? Why do they think that we scarf down disgusting whey protein or eat ridiculous numbers of calories that we literally cannot tolerate sometimes?

These people are so divorced from reality, it's as if they've never spoken to a male before. I don't think they understand that we have it just as bad, if not WORSE, than they do!

This is simple:

In feminist religion women are solely and totally oppressed and men are solely and totally privileged. Feminism teaches that "objectification" is a tool that the "Patriarchy," the conspiracy of men designed to maintain the dominance of men as a class, uses to enforce such dominance. "Objectification" is a form of mind control employed by the Patriarchy used to convince the masses that women aren't people, but are in fact objects to used by men. In this way, the Patriarchy maintains the dominance of men in society. Presenting women in a sexual way is a form of this.

Since men are the solely and totally privileged group, "objectification" doesn't have the same effect on them. No one is trying to oppress them by convincing society that men are not people. Thus, there is no harm in doing it to men.

Of course all of this is batshit crazy, but this is what they believe.

I actually don't mind some objectification (in moderation of course). The problem comes when we objectify a whole gender. But to me there's nothing wrong with women admiring male beauty the way a lot of men admire female beauty. I say this because as a guy, I have never in my life been complimented for my appearance (at least not after puberty).

It's an interesting argument, I guess, but it really does seem unproductive to me. I mean, the only rationale I could see behind this is "only when someone is deliberately trying to subvert expectations or point out how it is a problem." But these other reasons, such as, "well it doesn't affect men's social status" or "that it doesn't perpetuate poor treatment" ends up really thin. Saying that doing something is okay because it doesn't affect certain things is silly. It should be about what it does do. Transformers 2 doesn't harm anything (save intelligence), but that doesn't mean movies like it should keep being made.

TL;DR Things aren't defined by what they don't do. Saying something is okay should be based on what it does do.
