Exactly it’s pointless. The same special treatment you think you’re giving them is what they’re probably getting from tons of other men in dms. You're right, but I believe some basic decency and kindness should be maintained in normal situations on a day-to-day basis, no matter who you are interacting with. Being kind to young men, the elderly of any gender, children.

I am not going to state hoe one should behave in dating because there is no way I can do it right.

This sounds more of an insecurity thing than a question of chivalry. Most people aren't going to die cause you don't want to be chivalrous, especially since we know there's no long line of women waiting on you. Be humble, little one.

I personally don't think chivalry should depend on what other guys are dming nor someone's past. I'm not there to date their past, im dating them as they are and their future. Maybe that's an issue with you and your own inability to let go of your past. Now you can't function without projecting that to others.

It honestly doesn't take a psychologist to see the plethora of mental issues that so many incels display. It's part scream for help and part, proudness of being a moron. What a terrible cocktail.

Answer being, you automatically show respect until that particular person gives you a reason otherwise.
