I shared my story here a little while back and it was really helpful to share with y'all. So I thought i'd throw a question out there.

In this whole f***ed up journey going on over 4 years now and still not done, the one thing I can say without a doubt is I'm a damn good dad. And I can say that I'm an even better one than I would have been if this didn't happen in the first place. I'm so rock solid connected with my two (11yr old girl and 13yr old boy). There every day for doing things like being the room parent in school, volunteer coaching, driving back and forth to endless practices, being the only guy with my girl at these crazy dance conventions packed with dance moms. I'm sure many of you know the drill. But the best part is the time talking, knowing they can ask me anything, talking about life, school, friends, just having that kind of connection.

Now, the question I want to put out there to everyone. Of all the terrible things that have gone on, draining funds, the nastiest lawyer I've ever had to deal with throughout, the worst thing that's now coming into real clarity is their strategy as we come closer to trial. you know, you find these things out when they submit briefings and things of that nature.

Their strategy out of nowhere is to go for full custody and to literally spin out of thin air a full blown story of how I'd be a dangerous parent, that I'm abusive including physically and out of control. It's completely mindblowing to me.

* Can they get away with just outright lying?
* Is this a common tactic that works against the dad even if untrue?
* What did you do if you've experienced this? I'm not going to put my kids through something as traumatizing as testifying or anything like that. I could never imagine it and just won't.
* Am I even more jammed to prove this is a lie because this is California?

Now, what I can tell you is she's not even been here. The bills and statements show she's been traveling out of Los Angeles, where we live, for more than 200 days per year every year since we've separated. I've got a detailed calendar of all of the things, their schedules, how I manage it every day, etc, etc.

I mean for gods sake, that alone tells you that I've had to assume either physical custody for majority of days per year but also isn't there some common sense? If she's gone all that time, who's actually the parent that is there and able to take the call from school or whatever happens regardless? Me. I don't get how someone can just make that up and lie and it feels like now I have to prove something. This is ridiculous.
