Has anybody else experienced friends or family that kind of get sick of the fact that you’re not quite over the separation or divorce? I understand everybody has their lives to live…. And I feel like I’m doing better than I was six months ago, but my divorce isn’t finalized yet and I still have moments of grief that kind of get to me. Sometimes I find that if I express that to the people I’m with, it seems like they can’t understand why I’m not completely over it . Most of the time it’s people who were divorced, and the particulars of their divorce are different and they got over it quicker. I’ve read there’s no timeline on grief but I am starting to believe there’s absolutely a timeline on how long people will walk through grief with you. This is in no way to denigrate those people. I understand it must be somewhat difficult for them seeing a person they care about still having trouble with it. But I would like to believe that if someone I was close to was going through this that I would always try to be there for them and not get upset even if they keep rehashing stuff. But I could be wrong.
