I (35m)shouldn’t be surprised at all by any of this but even after 4 years separated and divorced from my ex (37f) she managed to do it again. Our kids have been back and forth a couple times over the past few days and both times have forgotten clothing at my house. These are old clothes that my youngest was wearing and not of any value or significance. 1 minute after dropping them off I get an email from their mom stating I need to get the sweats and shirt and drive them back. I waited until I got home and responded that I am not able to at this time as I am getting ready for a night shift but would leave the clothes on my step if she needed them. I then get a FaceTime from my daughter, so I answered but it was her mom. I hung up as she is not allowed to contact me that way, and then I received a text from my daughters number which was very clearly her mom also. This same thing happened 3 days ago with my ex forcing my daughter to call multiple times to ask for a shirt that was at my house. I remained calm but could tell my daughter was distressed about how her mom was acting. After all this, I get another email about how poor of a communicator I am (i grey rock) and saying this reminds her that the decision to divorce me was the best decision she has ever made (she cheated) and that she’s glad I’m setting an example of the type of guy our daughters need to stay away from and not marry. These words didn’t hurt me because I know I’m a great dad and my kids are definitely more comfortable at my house where they don’t have to deal with their mom’s outbursts, but this has been 4 years and I leave my ex alone, I don’t get in her business and pay what I’m required to on time every time. How long do I let this go on before I try to stop it? See previous posts for more info, ex has a history of violence and generally making life difficult.
