Be a man and be gracious. Regardless of if she’s hurt you, cheated on you or abused you. No need to rub it in her face. Be the bigger person. Celebrating in my opinion is a little premature and immature. At some point you loved each other. Karma comes for all so understand that this could happen to you one day, would you really want to know someone you cared for deeply was celebrating removing you from their lives ? If it’s the right decision for you good but just move on with dignity and grace. Always strive to be better.

Remember this: Look, don't ever second-guess the decisions you make. It's not your fault. Your wife did what she did, and it's not your fault when she is served the papers. It's hard enough that you have to go through what you're going through, let alone think it's on you when things happen. Take solace in the fact that you'll get a second chance at love, and remember to take a good look at the person on your next date. Are they showing any of those red flags?

I “celebrated” my 20th anniversary less than a month before the divorce was finalized.

Even without kids, you have got to stay pleasant and at least appear agreeable. “No” is a complete sentence. I quickly discovered there would be no argument won. Heck, my sponsor told me - and he’s right - there are no winners in divorce.

If you have kids, you have a long road ahead. Even grown children will pull her into your orbit. Never speak a disparaging word about her to them. They’ll figure out what they really need to know on their own.

Yeah don’t talk shit before the game is over. I do believe in grey roach but I don’t believe in the high road. This is now a business deal that will affect the rest of your life. You negotiate the best outcome you can and don’t take her threats and bullshit- because it will come no matter what road you take. Don’t sit back and wait for her attack. Take the high ground and hold it. Use any leverage/knowledge you have.

Grey Rock through the entire divorce. Women are fueled by emotions, good or bad. Don't give her either, it will drive her crazy and it will make your life much less stressful. I didn't find this sub, and that method, until a few months into my divorce and it's like a switch flipped and the fighting basically ended at that point
