Keep or Change Lawyer?

Everything we did was online. Even the court dates. Never met my attorney. It started out normal, with a local firm. Then they hired an out of state dude and gave him my case. Never mattered as far as that goes.

You don't want a lawyer that far away, unless they're not going to charge you travel time to finish your case.

45 miles ? That’s just an hour drive away and most things can b done via zoom anyways - any new person will have to get to to Speed and that costs time and money and no guarantee you’ll like them and that they will be as good - suggest you discuss it with your incumbent solicitor ..

If you are happy with the attorney then i would stay with that attorney who already knows your case. 45 miles is really not that far and most cases end in a settlement agreement through either mediation or negotiations or both.

Hey OP, not sure if you have heard of Avvo.com, but I used that when I was looking for options. Give it a whirl and read the reviews but it really helped me out to find a highly rated FAMILY LAW attorney. Good luck!

You gotta do what you feel comfortable with. It's such a roll of the dice to find a solid attorney in general. Maybe setup some consultations with local ones?
